As the natural feel for my native language allows me to produce translations into Latvian characterized by clarity of thought and expression combined with impeccable style, so too does my extensive experience I have gained as an editor/reviser/translator at the State Language Centre working with texts encompassing multiple different fields, from finance to waste management, from medicine to various subject areas of EU legislation, from forestry to judgments of the European Court of Justice, and much more.

Conversely, successful studies at the University of West Florida followed by active involvement in the multifaceted life of the local community have given me the ability to provide translation of Latvian texts into English with fluency on par with that of a native speaker.

Furthermore, I have an extensive knowledge of EU terminology and vocabulary in general, based on eight years of in-house translation/editing/proofreading experience working with both the EU documents and a broad range of legislative acts of the Republic of Latvia.

I have also translated/edited articles, user manuals, press releases, medical documentation and informative materials, websites, labels/other advertising material for consumer products, subtitles, annotations, legal documents, catalogues of featured projects, and more, in fields including electrical engineering, information technology, construction, medicine and health-related issues, education and pedagogy, finance, economics, hotel and hospitality management, manufacturing and retail, religion, art, law.

I have served as an interpreter in international conferences, seminars, festivals and media events.
