I'm Dr. Eva Von Alves, Swedish-born trilingual (Swedish/English/French) , full-time translator who started translating for a living in 2003. I have PHD of Philosophy, French Linguistics, Uppsala University, Sweden and Master of Arts in French studies, Italian, and General Linguistics, Uppsala University, Sweden.

By now I collaborate with a multitude of agencies and direct clients for whom I've translated documents in several different fields with extensive experience in translation, proofreading, and editing.

I mainly specialize in the translation of patents applications and patent claims, and offer clients high-quality translations using the required layout and formatting.

I also translate technical documentation, including general IT and telecom texts, and have in-depth knowledge of domains such as health, safety and security (experience with MSDS) as well as sport & fitness. My expertise also covers documentation related to nutrition and food products.

I work regularly with CAT tools such as SDL Trados (Studio 2011 and 2007 Freelance), Microsoft Excel, word, PowerPoint and Photoshop.
