Source text - English As the Indian army participated for the purpose mentioned above which is the maintenance of the Empire, participation of Indian Army on the war brought concomitant results. It would be impetuous and blunt judgment if we consider the participation of Indian army for World War 1 brought independence of India. Yet, what if we say that the war brought certain changes in the soldiers' mind and it established another trigger of mindset which connected them to the nationalistic emotion? What was emerging in the mind of soldiers during World War 1? Would it be appropriate to make a statement that noticeable change existed in the soldiers' mentality? If not, what were they feeling through the experience of the war? With regard to high rank officers' recognition on themselves, there has been ample amount of research.
