Producing formic acid from carbon dioxide is not a totally new technology. But there has been much trouble to separate the refined formic acid, which is enough to use.
To overcome the limit of conventional technology, Professor Yoon modified the catalyst technology. He introduced the non-homogeneous catalysis, not following the conventional method of using homogeneous catalyst for producing formic acid. This change made the formic acid solution possible to withstand high pressure and temperature, and to be easily precipitated. So it was possible to get formic acid derivative by liquid phase separation.
Also there was a problem. He used Iridium catalyst to refine formic acid. But Iridium is a kind of precious metal, so the price is high and it has low economic feasibility. He said, “For catalyst, reusing is very important. But I found that the efficiency was decreased when reusing Iridium. I had hard time to come up with the way to produce with high feasibility using cheap catalysts”.
Prof. Yoon’s research team has succeeded in developing ‘Ruthenium’ catalyst to replace Iridium. They verified that Ruthenium kept its original efficiency after reusing, even its price is less than one third of Iridium.

In physics, the Navier–Stokes equations /nævˈjeɪ stoʊks/, named after Claude-Louis Navier and George Gabriel Stokes, describe the motion of viscous fluid substances. These balance equations arise from applying Newton's second law to fluid motion, together with the assumption that the stress in the fluid is the sum of a diffusing viscous term (proportional to the gradient of velocity) and a pressure term—hence describing viscous flow. The main difference between them and the simpler Euler equations for inviscid flow is that Navier–Stokes equations also factor in the Froude limit (no external field) and are not conservation equations, but rather a dissipative system, in the sense that they cannot be put into the quasilinear homogeneous form:

I have been working as a chemical business developer for 4.5 years in Korea.

My field of expertise includes investigating the chemical background of new business.

Carrying out new business related works, I used to translate the chemical background written in English into Korean, searched prior art to avoid the possibility of dispute between my company and other competitor, etc.

Applying upper experience, I can deal with chemistry/chemical engineering technology documents and patents. And through my experience of business development, I got the basic knowledge of financial term for evaluating new business. So If you assign me jobs in the field of chemical engineering/chemistry or financial (related with business plan), I will make my every effort so that I can contribute to your business.
