Temperature Cycling Test

Test Standards
Signs of damage such as shrinking, cracking, swelling, dissolution, or change in quality must not show.

② Day 2

Drop Test
After attaching the sample to the lifejacket, jump in, feet first from a height of 4.5m.
The sample must not be damaged, or dislodged from the lifejacket. It must also pass the lighting test of (2).
Environment Test 나. (1) Samples which have undergone the temperature cycling test must be tested on measures ①, and ② as follows.
① Expose 4 samples to surrounding temperatures of -30℃ for 8 hours, then immerse them in seawater with a temperature below -1℃.

네, ____ 그 영화에서, 아마 그때가 언론에서 일하신 지 3년쯤 되던 시절인데 어떤 걸 느끼셨는지?
그 시청 광장에 보면, 영화 속에 시청이 나오잖아요, 그 시청 2층 기자실에 제가 있었어요. 그 시기에. 제가 시청 출입 기자였으니까. 그리고 밤에 돌아와서 뉴스를 했고. 시청 출입 기자이면서 동시에 뉴스 앵커도 했었기 때문에. 그 당시에 보도가, 다 상세하게 나갈 수는 없었던 그런 시기라고 생각하고. 과도기였죠. 과도기였는데, 저로서는, 뉴스 전달하는 것 이외에는 큰 역할을 한 바는 없고. 다만 그 당시에 뉴스가 제대로 모든 상황을 정확하게 알렸느냐 하는 측면에선, 아쉬움이 많이 남아있죠.

____가 생긴 지는 이제 6년 됐고요. 제가 여기 온 것은 4년 8개월 됐어요. 2013년 5월에 왔고, 뉴스룸을 개편한 것이 그해 9월이었으니까, 이제 4년 정도 됐죠. 뉴스를 다시 리폼해서 시작한 것이. 저희 뉴스룸은 일단 오너로부터 독립되어 있어요. 그것을 전제로 해서 제가 옮겨왔기 때문에.
거기까지만 얘기해주실래요?
오너쉽에서 자유로울 수 있다는 것은, 그 오너쉽과 연결된 다른 모든 것으로부터도 자유로울 수 있다는 거죠. 다시 말하면, 정치적인 문제라던가 혹은 재벌로 대표되는 경제 권력과의 문제라던가, 그런 것으로부터 자유로울 수 있다는 걸 의미하죠. 그래서, 그 당시가 ____ 정부의 시작 시기였기 때문에, 뉴스를 하다 보면 자연히 ____ 정부와는 opposite stance를 취하는 경우가 많이 있었고. 그것이 다른 방송, 특히 메이저 방송에서는 그런 현상을 볼 수가 없었기 때문에, 사람들이 조금씩 ____ 뉴스에 대해서 신뢰도를 갖기 시작했죠.
그것이 가장 시청자들에게 강하게 다가갔던 것은 ____ 때였고요. 정부 입장에서는 어떻게든 ____를 묻어두고 싶은 입장이었는데 저희는 그거를 한 200일 정도까지 매일 뉴스로 다뤘으니까요. 매일 매일 나오는 뉴스가 없었음에도 불구하고 그것을 지속적으로 보도함으로써, 한국 사회에 ____가 얼마큼 의미를 가지는 것인가를 보여주고 싶어 했죠.
그거를 저는 뭐라고 개념 정리를 했냐면, "Agenda Keeping"이라고 했어요. 대개 저널리즘에서 얘기하는 것이 "Agenda Setting"인 것은 많이 알려진 얘기지만, agenda를 의도적으로 계속 가져감으로써 사회에 경각심을 일깨우고, 사회적 논의를 계속할 수 있게 하는 언론의 역할로써, "Agenda Keeping"이라는 개념을 저희는 생각해냈고, 그걸 여태까지 실천하고 있죠. 비단 ____뿐만이 아니라 다른 중요한 이슈에 대해서.
그래서 ____ 뉴스에 첫 번째 사람들의 인식은 "Agenda Keeping"이라는 거예요.
전임 회장이기 때문에 형식적으로 이 회사를 운영하거나 하지 않아요. 그리고 모든 주식은 현임 사장한테 다 물려줬죠. 다만 그가 회사의 오리지널 오너로서 가질 수 있는 발언권이라던가 하는 것은 없다고 볼 순 없죠. 조금 이게 delicate한 문제인데, 그것을 참고하긴 하지만 그것이 우리 보도 방향에 영향을 끼친다던가, 하진 않아요. 특히 ____는.

Yes. The movie "____." To my understanding, it was staged around the time you'd been working for the press for around three years. What were your impressions?
Well if you take a look at the city hall square, you know, there was a city hall in the movie. I happened to be on the second floor of the building at the time, in the pressroom, since I was a city hall reporter. I'd come back at nighttime and do the news. I was on the city hall beat, but at the same time, I'd also be anchoring for the news. This was from back when the reports couldn't cover everything in too much detail. A transitional period, if you will. It was a transitional period, but for me, I didn't play much of a role aside from delivering the news. However, when it comes down to whether the news got all of its fact straight, with in-depth coverage, well as for that, there was a lot found wanting in that department.
Following the democratization movement of '87, in the fall of '87, ____, which was where I was working at the time, released a democratization of the press [sic], no wait, oh, a statement pushing for democratization of the press. Now if you flip this around, you can see that right up until that point, broadcasting had been heavily influenced by government censorship. After that, in December, ____ got itself a labor union. Its mission, first and foremost, was to focus on unbiased reporting. If you flip this around again, we can see that the democratization movement of '87 hit its peak in June, which was also when broadcasting still happened to be under heavy government censorship. Needless to say, it still somewhat is.
You've come a long way from your humble roots as a broadcasting rookie. How much of a role would you say ____'s news department played in the strides JTBC's made over the years?
It's been 6 years since ____ was founded, and I've been with them for 4 years and 8 months. I started out in May of 2013, and the newsroom underwent some restructuring in September of 2013, so it's been about four years since we reformed the news and started again. Our newsroom is separated from the ownership. That was the condition agreed on for my transfer.
Can you go over that?
To be off the owner's leash in a sense, means to be free from everything else related to the ownership. In other words, political problems, or problems arising from connections with business authorities, such as chaebols. Freedom from all that. Since President ____'s regime was just taking off back then, it naturally led to us taking an opposing stance from ____ on various issues. Since this wasn't common practice in other broadcasting systems, especially the major outlets, people started placing a lot more faith in ____'s brand of news reporting.
This hit viewers the hardest over the course of the ____. For the regime, ____ was something they wanted to bury, but we were covering 24/7 for about 200 days. We didn't have any breaking coverage on a daily basis, but by continuing our coverage, we wanted to convey how much of a significance the event had on Korean society.
The way I conceptualized it was "agenda Keeping." Agenda Setting in journalism's a fairly well-known practice, but we came up with the concept of "agenda keeping," wherein by constantly exposing the masses to an agenda, and thus awaking a sense of alertness to these issues, the press could play its role in society. We've been staying true to that principle to this very day. Not just with ____, but also with other important issues.
And that's why the first thing that comes to mind when people think ____ News is "Agenda Keeping."
As the former chairman, he doesn't operate the company, even as a formality or anything. And all company shares were passed down to the current president. However, he doesn't have as much pull or say in company matters granted the original owner. This is a pretty delicate matter, and we keep it in mind, but it doesn't influence our reporting in any way. Especially in ____.
Ex-chairman ____ had a very, what's the word, a very rational viewpoint when it came to reporting, I think. So when he'd voice his opinions on an issue, we'd listen in, then give him feedback. However, for instance, he'd never say "I want us to take this stance." We'd listen to what he had to say, then decide based on 'oh this is something we can include.' If it wasn't, then we didn't.

Source text - English In your own community you might have become aware of households with food insecurity. There are two forms of food insecurity; chronic and acute.
Chronic food insecurity is commonly described as the result of overwhelming poverty indicated by a lack of assets (means of living).
The acute food insecurity is usually considered to be more of a short-term phenomenon related either to manmade or unusual natural shocks, such as drought.
While the chronically food insecure population may experience food deficits relative to need in any given year, irrespective of the impact of shocks, the acutely food insecure require short term assistance to help them cope with unusual circumstances that impact temporarily on their lives and livelihoods.
Both chronic and acute problems of food insecurity are widespread and severe in Ethiopia. Drought and conflict are the main factors that increase problems of food production, distribution and access.
High rates of population growth and poverty also play a part, within an already difficult environment of fragile ecosystems where it might be difficult to produce sufficient food.
The fact that almost 80% of the population in Ethiopia depends almost exclusively on agriculture for its consumption and income needs means that measures to address the problems of poverty and food insecurity must mainly be found within the agricultural sector.
Other natural disasters such as pest infestations destroy area-specific production levels and the threat of locust swarms is often present.
