Source text - German In den letzten Jahren ist die konservative Therapie peripherer arterieller Durchblutungsstörungen in ein neues Stadium getreten. Die bisher bevorzugte Anwendung sogenannter Vasodilatantien hat sich nicht bewährt, da die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen dieser Präparate limitiert sind, weil Perfusionsdruck und Blutstromvolumen nur in geringem Mäße durch Vasodilatation beeinflussbar sind. Dagegen zeigte das Studium der Hämorheologie und der Mikrozirkulation, dass eine Steigerung des pathologisch verminderten Stromvolumens durch Verbesserung der Fließeigenschaften des Blutes möglich ist. Die Entstehung der klinischen Symptome einer Mangeldurchblutung wird nach neueren Erkenntnissen durch das abnorme Fließverhalten des Blutes im Bereich der Endstrombahn bewirkt. Die Beeinflussung gestörter Fließeigenschaften des Blutes durch Senkung von Bluthyperviskosität, Hemmung erhöhter Thrombozytenaggregationsneigung und Besserung der Erythrozytenfluidität hat deshalb zunehmend an Bedeutung gewonnen und wird heute als neues Prinzip zur Therapie arterieller Durchblutungsstörungen angesehen.
Translation - Polish W ostatnich latach leczenie zachowawcze obwodowych zaburzeń ukrwienia tętniczego wkroczyło na nowe tory. Stosowanie tzw. wazodylatatorów, stanowiących dotychczas leki pierwszego wyboru, nie sprawdziło się, co można uzasadnić ograniczonymi możliwościami tych preparatów, które pozwalają kontrolować ciśnienie perfuzji oraz objętość przepływu krwi poprzez rozszerzanie naczyń krwionośnych jedynie w nieznacznym stopniu. Analiza właściwości reologicznych krwi i mikrokrążenia wykazała natomiast, że patologicznie zmniejszony przepływ krwi można zwiększyć poprzez poprawę właściwości jej przepływu. Jak wskazują ostatnie wyniki badań naukowych, wystąpienie klinicznych objawów niedokrwienia spowodowane jest upośledzeniem przepływu krwi w końcowych odcinkach naczyń. Z tego względu regulacja zaburzonych właściwości przepływu krwi poprzez obniżanie lepkości krwi, hamowanie nadmiernej skłonności do agregacji płytek krwi oraz poprawę płynności błon erytrocytów zyskała na znaczeniu i jest dziś uważana za nową strategię w leczeniu zaburzeń ukrwienia tętniczego.

Albert Einstein otrzymał nagrodę Nobla za teorię wyjaśniającą zjawisko fotoelektryczne. W 1954 roku Bell Labs zaczęło produkować pierwsze krzemowe ogniwa fotowoltaiczne osiągające sprawność 4%. Przez następne dziesięciolecia sprawność ta rosła, dochodząc obecnie do 20%. Rozwój ogniw fotowoltaicznych był stymulowany poprzez przemysł kosmiczny. W latach osiemdziesiątych XX wieku w Kalifornii powstała pierwsza fotowoltaiczna elektrownia o mocy większej niż 1 MW. W latach osiemdziesiątych zaczęły również powstawać pierwsze samochody zasilane energią elektryczną z ogniw fotowoltaicznych. Lata osiemdziesiąte to także rozwój cieplnych elektrowni słonecznych. Technologia ta polega na skupianiu promieniowania słonecznego w jeden punkt na wieży. W tym punkcie ogrzewany jest czynnik roboczy i dalszy system produkcji energii elektrycznej przebiega jak w elektrowni konwencjonalnej.

Im Jahr 1954 stellten die Forscher der Bell Laboratories die ersten Silizium-Solarzellen mit einem Wirkungsgrad von bis zu 4 % her. In den darauffolgenden Jahrzehnten stieg dieser Wert allmählich an, sodass derzeit ein Wirkungsgrad von bis zu 20 % erreicht werden kann. Die Entwicklung von Solarzellen wurde dabei durch die Raumfahrtindustrie vorangetrieben. In den Achtzigerjahren des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde in Kalifornien das erste Photovoltaik-Kraftwerk mit einer Leistung von mehr als 1 MW in Betrieb genommen. In dieser Zeit wurden ebenfalls die ersten solarbetriebenen Elektroautos gebaut. Die 80er-Jahre brachten aber auch die Errichtung von solarthermischen Kraftwerken mit sich. Die Technologie, die diesen Kraftwerken zugrunde liegt, besteht in der Bündelung der Sonnenstrahlung auf einen Punkt am sogenannten Solarturm. Dort kommt es zur Erhitzung des Arbeitsmediums, wonach die weiteren Prozesse der Stromerzeugung wie in einem konventionellen Kraftwerk ablaufen.
