In a checkered career of mixed volitions, I've had more than a three-decade-long experience of academic and action research and teaching in the fields of social science and historical studies and also have had a wide range of involvements in civil society endeavours with special references to varied women's and other human rights activities. I've written quite extensively in English and Bengali, covering not only my professional and human service work but also several issues of contemporary relevance. Translation and interpretation of academic and social activism-related matters have happened rather naturally in terms of all my assignments and engagements mentioned here. So, I should be able to cater to multiple literary and linguistic tastes and requirements of different translation exercises.
