Born in Norway to a bi-lingual family, I grew up speaking English and Norwegian natively. I spent several of my young adult years in Brazil, where I learned to speak Portuguese. Later I got a bachelors degree in Portuguese language and literature and to this day I still speak Portuguese on a daily basis.

I later got a masters degree in Law from the University of Oslo, specialising in Indigenous Rights.
