Bio

Born and raised in Sweden, I moved to Canada in 1980 and stayed there for 5 years, working in a camera shop and later for the telephone company, Bell Canada.

In 1985, I moved back to Skåne, Sweden, to start working in a global manufacturing company (Tetra Pak) where the company language is English. Stayed there for 28 years in various roles, mainly in the area of learning and development.

I left in 2014 to move to London, UK taking on a role as internal consultant at BP. True to myself, the role included a large element of training design, development and delivery. I supported with a small translation of Norwegian to English (Swedish being my native language) for a localisation of the software we used. After this job, I went on to do freelance consulting, still in the L&D area for some time and eventually I landed in a Client Success Manager role for the provider of the software I had been working with since I arrived in London. My clients were all in Scandinavia so I got good use of my translation skills as some clients needed help with the localisation of the software.

People, photography, technology, travel and genealogy have always been interests of mine and still are.

So, in short, although not a certified translator, I have had major elements of translation work landing on my desk throughout my career and I am now looking to pursue this exciting work professionally.
