Tania Parrilla Martín

English

My academic
credentials includes two years of Chinese language training at Chinese
universities, that helped me pass HSK 5 (level C1), a Masters of Spanish
Language and Literature and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law.

After finishing those
two years of Chinese language training, I started working at Changchun Normal
University as a Spanish teacher and Chinese to Spanish translator, and then at
Nanjing University, where these days I teach Spanish language and business,
history and culture of the Spanish speaking countries. Besides my experience at
university, I have also worked at Lawyer’s offices in Spain.

It has been now 7
years living in China and teaching Spanish language and culture to Chinese
students, which has helped me to understand the similarities and differences
between these two cultural realities, and therefore with translation, since the
way I understand this job goes beyond getting words from one language to the
other, and pays attention to fitting the culture of the target language to make
the readers not only understand the text but forget they are reading a translation.

Looking forward to
working with you,

Tania Parrilla Martín
