Born in Sweden to a bi-lingual
family, I grew up speaking Swedish and English natively. My American father works
as a self-employed language consultant to large companies and he apparently passed
his affinity for language on to me. I would describe myself as somewhat of a
word-geek, and especially enjoy listening to - or reading - sharp, witty
dialogue. I have a Master’s Degree in
Biology, and was employed in that capacity at the Swedish University of
Agricultural Sciences for almost 10 years. Since 2015, I'm self-employed and
work as a photographer, freelance journalist and translator. In light of my previous career,
I am well acquainted with forestry and biology terms in both Swedish and
English, and have an above average understanding of ecology, geology and
scientific methodology in these areas.
