Bio
I've always been fascinated by the English language. Ever since a young age I've read books in English, and despite Norwegian being my native language, I am currently writing my first book in English.
In 2010, when I was 19, I moved to New Zealand, where I completed a degree in Film and Media Studies. My love of the English language has only grown since, which eventually led me to the translation business.
Eager to be my own boss and work on my own terms, I set about making translation my full-time job.
First, however, I worked as a journalist for nearly 4 years, thus learning a lot about using correct language and grammar in Norwegian Nynorsk. Norwegian Bokmål has always been my strong suit, but now I consider myself to be equally good at both.
While translating is my job, creative writing is my passion. Hence, I enjoy artistic/creative translations most of all.
In addition to literature, I provide exceptional translation services in the marketing/advertising fields, as well as many others.
The most valuable lesson I learned during my years as a journalist is to manage time wisely. I've never missed a deadline, and I thrive while working under pressure.
I
enjoy problem-solving and I'm quickly able to solve any issues that may arise
during the translation process.
