Source text - English The co-evolution of plants and their fungal pathogens (especially obligate pathogens such as mildews) is thought to have involved a constant exchange of molecular information and the development of a range of mechanisms/strategies of dealing with each other. This co-evolution is thought to be the reason for recent research results which showed that, when a plant fails to stop a pathogen from developing an infection, this is often due to a delay of the onset of a plant defence mechanism rather than its absence or inactivation. It is now also widely recognized that both susceptible and resistant genotypes of the same plant species, often have all genes necessary to establish an effective defence against their pathogens, and that the difference of their relative susceptibility is caused by the different levels (or speed) of expression of their resistance genes. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Organic Agriculture (Ionian
Islands, Greece) and a PhD from Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (University of
Newcastle, UK).

I am born and raised in Greece (Athens),
which makes me a native Greek speaker, and my PhD studies as well as my thesis
of 55,122 English words makes me a C2 (mastery) speaker of English language.
I have also lived and carried out research work in United Kingdom.

I am working on translation from English
to Greek as well as from Greek to English, since 2018.
