Bio

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my page.

I was born in Russia but grew up between Russia and Ukraine since my parents were traveling back and forth between these two counties.

I got my nursing diploma in Odessa, Ukraine and for five years I worked there as a nurse in one of the local hospitals.

At the age of 24 I moved to USA, and now, 20 years later, English is my second language. Currently I’m in mortgage and real estate industry in one of the most dynamic
cities in the world-New York. For the past 9 years I've been servicing russian and ukrainian communities helping people to find their homes, educating them about different financing options, improving their credit and lowering their debts. Majority of my clients don't speak english and translating for them has been part of my daily job routine. Recently I've decided to further this opportunity and become an official translator.

My personal interests are in yoga, health and nutrition. I’m
certified health coach and advocate for visceral therapy.

I don’t particularly care what to translate, I think each translating job is unique and always offers an opportunity to improve my vocabulary, but I have a slightly elevated interest in anything that is related to health and travel. I also like to translate any documents that relate to immigration. Being that I was an immigrant once myself, I feel personally connected and want to smoothen the journey for everyone who is going through this process because language is the first challenge for every immigrant, and we, translators, can make this challenge disappear.

Kind regards

Irina
