Translator (life sciences & technical fields) and conference
interpreter since 1994; university professor in translation and consecutive
interpretation (EN and RUS): a true, lean freelance! I love
translating from my office, making the most of the new technologies that
improve a translator's workflow and provide a better product for the
client. Now and then I need to leave my office and see the world: that's
where my interpreting skills become so useful. Although now, because of
the Covid pandemic, most of us must provide remote interpreting
services (and I do, too). Teaching is an opportunity to share my
experiences and expertise with young students who would like to become
interpreters, or use translation in the many fields where it can be applied to.
In
my private life, a lover of theatre, the arts and literature (which
however I do not translate). And of Italian cappuccino while chatting
with some friends, of course!
