A born-to-be linguist with a passion for grammar and languages in general. Mainly focused on translation, interpreting and subtitling. Born in former Czechoslovakia, I have two native languages, Slovak as the primary one and Czech that I've been able to perfect during my studies in the Czech Republic; first at the Palacký University in Olomouc where I got my Master's degree in English and Japanese philology, and then at the Masaryk University in Brno where I got my PhD. in English language - Linguistics.

I have extensive experience in subtitling, having regularly worked for major Slovak film festivals as well as smaller companies. My main area of expertise is industrial production (primarily in Japanese and English). I have worked for a Japanese AC parts manufacturing company as an in-house translator/interpreter for a year and continue to work for them as an external vendor. I also specialize in legal translation, mainly real-estate (contracts, extracts etc.)
