Bilingual in English and
Portuguese, with a BA Hons. degree in Languages (Arabic and Portuguese)
from Leeds University. I hold the Diploma in Translation from the Institute of
Linguists (Portuguese/English), specialising in Business and Humanities, and I
subsequently worked as a freelance Examiner for their Translation examination.

I am also qualified in CELTA
- TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), with an additional
qualification in advanced English, covering Lexis, Phonology, Grammar and
Discourse. I have taught English to international students from 10 years of age
to adult, at Lower Intermediate to Advanced level.

After 15 years of living in
Portugal using the language daily both for translation and in bilingual roles,
I am completely fluent in the language and competent in translation in a wide
range of fields including business, finance, data analysis, education and
tourism.
