Brazilian dad; Italian mum; Brazilian pastors from 2006-2016, and again in 2020. Living in London since I was 4 years old. I've been conversing/ translating/ subtitling/ proof-reading for these two languages for a long time - though never paid. Even more so now as I am soon to marry my Brazilian fiancee. I am stronger at translating Portuguese to English, since my English is faultless. However I still have many gaps in my Portuguese speech and knowledge - especially when it comes to specialised jargon. These words are more easily translated back to English fromcontext, even without knowing the word or having used the word personally before.
