Source text - English Fasteners are used to join two or more components together.
Screws are conical pieces of metal with a thread cut into them. Screws for metal have a parallel thread, while those for wood have a tapered helical thread.
The metric thread is commonly used in Europe.
The pitch of a screw thread is the distance from a point in the thread to the corresponding point on the next thread.
Screw threads can be cut by hand using taps and dies. Some screws are self-tapping.
Bolts are cylindrical metal rods threaded at one end to take a nut with a head at the other end. The nuts used with the bolt are classified as hexagonal, square and circular.
Locknuts are used when parts are subject to vibration to prevent the nut working loose.
Rivets are used to join metals permanently. They are made from malleable metals such as iron, steel, copper, brass, aluminium and aluminium alloys.
Spanners and pliers are commonly used to tighten or loosen fasteners.
Spanners should always fit the nut well or the corners of the nut will be damaged, and the spanner strained.
Closed spanners (ring, box or socket) slip less than open spanners, because they grip the nut more firmly.
Pliers can be tightly locked onto objects. They are useful for holding objects when drilling or grinding. They can be found with or without insulated handles.
Slip-joint pliers can be adjusted to give a wider than average gap between the jaws.
Snipe-nose pliers have long, pointed jaws to be used use in tight places and are particularly useful for gripping small electrical parts.

Le pinze possono essere fermamente agganciate agli oggetti e sono utili per bloccare questi ultimi durante la foratura o la molatura. Si possono trovare sia con che senza manici isolati.
Le pinze a pappagallo possono essere regolate in modo da ottenere tra le ganasce un’apertura più ampia rispetto alla media. Le pinze a becco hanno ganasce lunghe e appuntite per essere utilizzate in spazi stretti e sono particolarmente utili per afferrare piccoli componenti elettrici.

Light and shadow and the contrast between fore- and background are the only “decoration” of my work, which I support with different surfaces.

The stainless-steel balls I create are based on a traditional ball from Southeast Asia, used in a game called sepak raga in Malaysia. There it is made from rattan cane and is very light. I have added another layer to the traditional weave and the ball consists of 16 pieces of rope. There are thus 32 ends hidden within the ball. The rope is usually used for rigging on ships and for heavy lifting gear and although it is very expensive I enjoy working with it because it is uniform throughout its length and is naturally springy, forming perfect circles without any kinks or bulges.

Attualmente lavoro per lo più come orafa, ma il mio interesse e la mia conoscenza delle
forme sono nati durante il periodo di formazione come argentiere, quando realizzavo
teiere, piatti, cucchiai, ecc.
Le pure e semplici forme che ho imparato ad amare in quei giorni costituiscono ancora le
basi del mio lavoro.
C’è un certo legame tra tutti i pezzi che ho realizzato, tanto che è possibile comprenderne
il continuo progresso. Per me è importante vederne l’evoluzione.
Luci e ombre, assieme al contrasto tra primo piano e sfondo, sono le uniche “decorazioni”
dei miei lavori, che rinforzo usando diverse superfici.

Le sfere in acciaio inossidabile che realizzo si ispirano a una tipica palla del sud-est
asiatico usata per un gioco che in Malesia è chiamato sepak raga.
Lì questa palla è fatta di canna di rattan ed è molto leggera. All’intreccio tradizionale ho
aggiunto un altro strato, cosicché la palla si compone di 16 pezzi di corda. Ci sono
pertanto 32 estremità nascoste dentro la palla.
Solitamente la corda è utilizzata per il sartiame sulle navi o per il sollevamento di carichi
pesanti e, sebbene sia molto costosa, mi piace lavorarci perché risulta uniforme in tutta la
sua lunghezza ed è intrinsecamente elastica. Forma inoltre dei cerchi perfetti senza
generare pieghe o rigonfiamenti.

Se trata de un hombre de 76 años con patologías previas. Además 19 personas han dado positivo en el Centro de Mayores Municipal de Valdemoro en el que vivía el fallecido. Murió el jueves por la tarde en el Hospital Elena de la localidad madrileña.
