В развитых странах с рыночной и смешанной экономикой устанавливают конкретные ценовые правила, в виде законов и подзаконных актов с целью сохранения национальной экономики страны. Например, Конгресс США предусматривает справедливый уровень стоимости продукции и государственной поддержки.
Во Франции государственному ценообразованию и контролю со стороны государства подлежат: сельскохозяйственная продукция, газ, электроэнергия и транспортные услуги. Государственный ценовой контролер занимается регулированием цен и ценовой конкуренции и готовит акты о нарушении ценообразовании.
В Испании регулирование и контроль цен осуществляется на основе Закона о защите конкуренции. Это относится к товарам и услугам, производство которых монополизировано.
На территории Дании влияние государства на формирование цен очень ограничено и сводится к созданию наиболее благоприятных условий свободной конкуренции для частных производителей, которые самостоятельно устанавливают цены на свою продукцию
В Австралии отсутствует специальная система регулирования цен. В то же время, контроль цен на хлеб, молоко, яйца осуществляется в нескольких штатах специальными уполномоченными организациями, входящими в состав казначейских служб этих штатов. Уполномоченные организации регулярно пересматривают максимальный уровень цен на эти товары. Гарантированными закупочными ценами занимаются Комитет по пшенице, Корпорация по шерсти и Комитет по сахару.
Министерство промышленности и торговли Российской Федерации осуществляет мониторинг динамики цен по отдельным товарным группам на основе данных Росстата. Проверка также может быть инициирована любым жителем региона на фоне общей оценки Минсельхозом.

Australia does not have a special price management system. At the same time, price control for bread, milk, eggs is carried out in several states by special authorized organizations that are part of the treasury services of these states. Authorized organizations regularly review the maximum level of prices for these goods. Guaranteed purchase prices are handled by the Wheat Committee, the Wool Corporation and the Sugar Committee.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation monitors price dynamics for individual product groups based on the Federal State Statistics Service data. The check can also be initiated by any resident of the region against the background of a general assessment by the Ministry of Agriculture.
