И это странно, при всеобщей глобализации, когда информация распространяется по миру с легкостью ветра. Хорошо известно как традиционное искусство Африки повлияло на европейское искусство в начале 20 века, на живопись Пикассо, Дерена, и особенно на скульптуру. Что же происходит в искусстве «черного» континента? . Живопись не традиционна для Африки, это европейская культурная экспансия. Симбиоз культур – соединение европейской эстетики и африканских традиций. Традиционное искусство, заключая в себе нечто магическое, резко отличается от искусства в европейском понимании. Когда мы сегодня смотрим на традиционную статуэтку или маску, то мы, как правило, говорим об их красоте, о стиле их исполнения, а раньше главным была та роль, которую они играли: их магическая функция. В современном искусстве выходит на первый план не вертикальное соединение «боги-люди», а горизонтальное – «человек-человек». Это другое предназначение, не культовое, а эстетическое, описательное.. Кровь - всегда кровь. Можно взять чужие приемы, технику и даже язык, но суть, - кости, кровь, предки, традиция, - все равно пробьется. Африканский мир быстро меняется, как в социальном, религиозном, так и в эстетическом плане. Развиваются новые виды искусства, порой несвойственные Африке, такие, как, например, живопись.
Разные по художественному языку и стилю картины, тем не менее, объединяет ритмичность, вибрация плоскости, «музыкальность» работ. . Частое использование повторения красочных пятен, знаков, образов на плоскости вводит зрителя в состояние транса. . Характерно отсутствие перспективы, - все действие в одной плоскости. . Резкость, контраст цвета, жесткость линий, подчеркнутая грубоватость фактуры дает большую эмоциональную насыщенность, экспрессию, динамичность формы.

Source text - English The population of Africa is growing at the fastest pace in the world. More than 50% of African people are young people under the age of 25. Meanwhile, the quality of life on the African continent remains one of the lowest in the world. How can Russia help to improve mechanisms for improving the quality of life of the African population, in particular youth? How to intensify cooperation between educational institutions of Russia and Africa, as well as strengthen the presence of highly qualified Russian volunteers on the continent? How to develop librarianship and increase access to information for young people in African countries? What needs to be done to raise international awareness of African heritage? How to attract youth and strengthen cooperation to protect heritage at local, regional and global levels?
Dear colleagues, good afternoon once again. Let me welcome you to the Russia-Africa forum, and we are starting our panel discussion, enlightened to improve the quality of life on the African continent. I would like to give the first word to Dirk Banhorst and start the discussion with a touch of the beautiful, with ballet. Please, Dirk Badenhorst.
Thank you very much for having us. And I think it's very important that this whole conference of congress is such a great coming together. And so often we focus on one area or the other and I think it's very important that we have understand we are all part of the whole global existence. My presentation’s name is Ballet beyond Ballet because it is not just about the physical dancing on the stage that you will see. Let me begin with my achievements. I work with South Africa international ballet competition which I started in 2008 in South Africa where we used new methodology, we worked with professional ballet companies that we found in Africa and brought there. And that's really what I am trying to create. So what I would like first to see is a little part of this video which shows where I come from where I work. [video playing]. So I think it's very very important what the former minister had mentioned is that there has been researched if people are interested in ballet around the country , around the continent, around the world. And we see that ballet is really becoming more popular , more more people want it not only in Africa but around the globe. We live in the society where everyone dances. Everybody dances, when we are happy we dance, when we are sad we dance, when we are angry we dance, when we protest we dance. And so what is incredible is that now there is more interest in the rest of the African continent. In 2 weeks I will go to Nigeria to start the similar program there. I have been invited to go to Uganda. I have been invited to go to Togo and Benin to do the same thing. We have the came program in Swaziland (Eswatini). We have also interest in Namibia. So definitely there is a very big interest and so the effort is very important to find the right partners but also to understand the value of what they call ballet diplomacy. It's very important to be able to understand that when we dance together , we can work together, we can understand one another so much better. The company I have just traveled to China, to Brazil, to Mexico and hopefully will come again to Russia next year. And it's incredible how certain boundaries , certain ways preconceived ideas that have existed in the past have been overcome by these programs. So it's very important that we continue to teach these young kids and create these jobs for young South Africans to improve their daily life conditions. These young teachers you have seen in the video so far , have not had the opportunity to have jobs and now through this program they are starting to have jobs , they are starting to be trained, they are starting to get qualifications. So they can indeed be celebrated young artists. If we think of the beautiful country of Russia where artists are so well valued , I think it's important to understand that I believe these illusions of many African problems should come within Africa and that the arts help us create this creativity , develop thus creativity that will help us find the solutions. That's what is so important. That's why we would like to find more partners in Russia, in the rest of Africa to help us expand this program, help us make it more valuable, help us to get the kids to understand so much better what it is they can achieve , get them out of the physical location of poverty , of not having the concept of the future , of not having an idea of what I may or can become. But in the end when you put on a costume and you can look like a ballerina. It helps these young children to develop their ability to dream, to have hopes for the future for them to be able to say "I can and I want". And it's really important. It's really important that programs include as many people from all over the countries to reinsure that we achieve as much as we can. And what we need to make with the young people that we work with. I think it's very important that we achieve that. And I think it's very important we understand that it's the creation, the combination of this beautiful art that comes from Russia , originally not established in Russia, but made famous by very famous Russians. There are also people that have helped us establish knowledge and understanding of the beautiful art of ballet. There is another project that we do, where we create greater awareness of our animal conservation again across connection of the art, tourism, land and flora and fauna conservation, marketing , business, because it all comes together. I think it's so important that all of these things work so beautifully together. Ballet creates different language in a different way of expressing. It helps to keep kids off the street, helps to keep kids away from the drug abuse, violence, teenage pregnancies. in South Africa teenage pregnancy is a huge problem. And we would like to address that. So when we through the art of ballet and other dance forms we teach people to understand their bodies and themselves better. And so that's what I find so important. And this is what the arts are all about. And just again celebrating more and more. There are some perfect examples of how we combine classical ballet with Pansula a very typical African dance form, something is really revealed in the South Africa that brings us together as a nation, brings us together as people. And I think this is also ways we can do more of it around the country around the continent and around the world. And finally we have international the South African ballet competition. A competition happens every 2 years. In 2016 I was very fortunate to have been in Sochi where I was at the Yurii Grigorievich competition and in May of this year I was at the bolshoy where I was in the jury. But in South Africa the only international ballet competition on the African continent will take place in the 13th - 19th of July 2020 and we are bringing together judicators from around the world, from China , from Korea , from Russia, from the US, the U.K., Germany , Switzerland , and definitely Africa. And we want more and more people to be part of this program and this process. So thank you very much for your time.

Thank you very much. It is very difficult to talk after such an inspiring ballet presentation. For me it was a really unexpected aspect of working with local communities, and maybe we will take something from this into our service. If we talk about our company, we are really more from a traditional angle approach corporate responsibility. Indeed, we share the values of corporate social responsibility, saying that a profitable business must also bring social benefits. This is really very important to us. The company is quite large, we are one of the 20 largest gold producers in the world. We produce about 1 million ounces, operate on 4 continents, our mines are located in Russia, Kazakhstan, Burkina Faso and Guinea. We also have projects in French Guiana and in Arctic Canada. At the same time, it is important to note that when working in Africa, it is important to explain to the local population why this business is necessary, that we will contribute good things by working in Africa. And here it is very important for us, if we talk about the classical approach to this, there are UN goals, we work on many of them, the goals of sustainable development, I mean. An Access to education is one of the key one, in the 10 years that we have been working in Africa, we have built about 100 schools, providing access to education in Burkina Faso and Guinea, to literacy, which, in fact, was absent before us. The second is healthcare. If we are talking about Guinea, we have built several clinics there. Our employees and their families have free access to healthcare and medicines. Education and healthcare is what we really focus on. Naturally, jobs, if we talk about our mines in Africa, we have created about 3,000 jobs with an average salary of about $ 1,000. We create jobs that require high qualifications. In addition, we train young people in those professions that will be in demand on the local labor market, not necessarily at our enterprise. 1,600 employees qualified through our programs. What should be said at the end of the speech is that we also have a large number of programs, creating opportunities for women. There are several villages Around our mines. In these villages we created the opportunity for the production of soap, for example. In the mines, mostly men get jobs. Разрешите приветствовать Вас на форуме Россия - Африка, и мы начинаем нашу панельную дискуссию, просвещённую повышению качества жизни на африканском континенте. Тема эта широка и многообразна, и охватывает она практически все сферы, и как те, которые традиционно понимаем , когда говорим о повышении качества жизни, это здравоохранение, образование, культура, так и те , которые обычно остаются немного в стороне, это и вопросы возможности реализации личной инициативы человека , возможности трудиться в хороших условиях, в комфортных условиях, это и благоприятная экологическая среда. Спасибо. Спасибо, что пригласили. На мой взгляд очень важно понимать, что подобные конференции - это большое скопление людей из разных областей. Очень часто происходит так, что все внимание уделяется лишь одной стороне вопроса. Нужно не забывать, что все мы играем свою роль в жизни и в улучшении Ее качества. Моя презентация посвящена балету, и она называется "Балет это не только балет". Наверное, начну со своих каких то достижений. В 2008 году мы запустили балетные соревнования в Африке, мы использовали новые методы, мы работали с балетными труппами, которых нашли там в Африке и привозили с собой. Это те инициативы, которые мы реализовали. Сначала покажу вам короткое видео. Оно показывает Вам то, откуда я приехал, где я сейчас работаю. [видео]. То, что бывший член совета министров говорила, это чрезвычайно важно. Были проведены исследования того, вообще занимаются ли люди балетом в стране, на континенте, по всему миру. И мы видим, что балет становится все более популярным не только в Африке, но и в других местах. Мы живём в том обществе, где все танцуют. Согласитесь, когда вы рады, вы танцуете, когда вы грустите, вы тоже танцуете, даже на протестах люди теперь танцуют. Знаете, что меня потрясает, все больше интереса пробуждается в других африканских странах. Через две недели я отправляюсь в Нигерию, где мы будем запускать схожую программу. У меня уже есть приглашение в Уганду , в Того, в Бенин. Там мы будем делать тоже самое. Похожие программы будут реализованы ещё в Свазиленде (Эсватини). Мы знаем , что интерес есть и в Намибии. Нет сомнения , что интерес к балету растёт и очень важно искать и довольно сложно находить правильных партнёров. Но есть так называемая балетная дипломатия , это про понимание того , чем мы занимаемся. Если мы можем вместе танцевать , значит мы можем вместе и работать. Мы сможем гораздо лучше понимать друг друга. С одной из наших компаний , с которыми мы работаем , наших трупп , мы путешествовали уже в Бразилию , в Китай. Я надеюсь , что в следующем году сможем приехать и в Россию. И вы не представляете себе , как танец , как путешествие и гастроли труппы помогают преодолевать вот эти предрассудки , которые есть в умах людей. Все благодаря программам искусств. Именно поэтому так важно продолжать изучать тех молодых ребят и тех детей , чтобы они через танец улучшали качество их жизни. Вот эти молодые преподаватели, которых вы видели на этом видео , у них даже не было возможности найти какую то работу , а благодаря этой программе они получили такую замечательную работу. Они сами учатся , они получают квалификацию. Они действительно молодые талантливые люди. В России, например, танцоры балета так высоко ценятся , я думаю , вы понимаете , о чем я говорю. Я уверен , что решение ко многим африканским проблемам находится в пределах самого африканского континента. И лишь взглянуть на наш народ позволит открыть творческий потенциал, через который мы сможем решить многие другие социальные проблемы. в России, в Африке, в других Ее странах мы хотели бы продвигать данную программу. Через это мы можем улучшить качество очень многих людей. Мы можем вывести многих из за порога бедности, за которым они, к сожалению , живут. Многие люди даже не задумываются в Африке , кем они могли бы стать. Но в итоге , эти дети надевают балетное трико и уже думают о себе гораздо лучше. Много важных инициатив. Люди из разных стран, из разных регионов южной Африки , куда очень важно привлекать людей, ребят, учителей со всех стран и континентов. Только так мы сможем добиться многого. И только так мы сможем поддерживать интерес этой молодёжи. На мой взгляд, то, чего мы уже добились чрезвычайно показательно. Важно , чтобы мы все понимали , что это занятие - это действительно очень важно в контексте нашего сегодняшнего разговора. Согласитесь , для вас балет - это что то , что всегда было у Вас. Мы повышаем уровень осведомлённости благодаря нашим танцорам. Мы участвуем и в других программах , повышаем уровень знания о природе нашего края , нашего континента. Все это работает в совокупности. Одно искусство влечёт за собой другое. И мне кажется , что это просто потрясающе. Иное видение , как мы действительно можем улучшать качество жизни молодых африканцев , южно африканцев через балет , через этот вид искусства. Это другая форма выражения. Представляете , дети больше не проводят время на улице, они не имеют времени и возможности пристраститься к наркотикам. Мы понижаем уровень подростковых беременностей. На самом деле в южной Африке это очень серьёзная проблема , и через балет мы можем эту проблему решить. Мы через балет помогаем людям понимать то , как работают тела , понимать себя гораздо лучше. Поэтому я столько внимания этому уделяю и такую ценность этому придаю. Повторю ещё раз , мы празднуем и саму силу человека , силу человеческого тела. Это примеры Того, как мы объединяемся, мы - люди , человечество. Мне кажется , что есть много возможностей реализовывать подобные инициативы в Африке, в других странах мира. Пример Того, как все мы может работать вместе , как все мы можем радоваться, что все мы вместе такие разные. Танцоры Пасола, балетные танцоры , совершенно разные жанры. Это люди , которые просто радуются тому , что они просто люди. Ну и в заключении, грядёт международное соревнование по балету, конкурс. Я в 2016 году имел удовольствие быть здесь в Сочи на соревновании Юрия Григоровича. В мае этого года я уже был в большом. Однако в Южной Африке вот единственное международное соревнование проходит на африканском континенте у нас с 13 по 18 июля 2020 года. Приедут участники молодых трупп всех стран мира, Китай, Россия, Швейцария, Африка, Соединённые Штаты , со всех стран мира приезжают участники, и мы чрезвычайно гордимся тем , что делаем вклад в этот проект. Мы добываем порядка 1млн унций , оперируем на 4 континентах, в России, Казахстане , Буркина Фасо и Гвинеи находятся наши рудники. Мы также имеем проекты во Французской Гвиане и в Арктической Канаде. При этом важно отметить , что работая в Африке , важно объяснить Местному населению , зачем этот бизнес, что мы внесём хорошего, работая в Африке. И здесь для нас очень важен, если говорить о классическом подходе к этому , есть цели ООН, мы работаем по многим из них, цели устойчивого развития, я имею в виду. Доступ к образованию является одним из ключевых, те 10 лет , что мы работаем в Африке , мы построили порядка 100 школ , обеспечив в Буркина Фасо и Гвинеи доступ к образованию, к возможности получения грамотности, которая по сути до нас отсутствовала. Второе - здравоохранение. Если мы говорим о Гвинеи, то мы построили несколько клиник. Наши сотрудники и челны их семей имеют бесплатный доступ к здравоохранению и лекарствам. То есть образование , здравоохранение - это то , на чем мы действительно фокусируем своё внимание. Естественно рабочие места, если говорить о наших рудниках в Африке , мы создали около 3000 рабочих мест со средней заработной платой около 1000 $. Мы создаём рабочие места , которые требуют высокой квалификации. Помимо этого мы обучаем молодёжь тем профессиям, которые будут востребованы на местном рынке труда , необязательно на нашем предприятии. 1600 сотрудников получили квалификацию благодаря нашим программам. Что следует сказать в конце выступления , мы также имеем большое количество программ, создавая возможности для женщин. Вокруг наших рудников находятся несколько деревень. В этих деревнях ив создали возможность по , например, производству мыла. На рудниках получают работу в основном мужчины. Мы , кончено , не ограничиваем и женщин в этом, если они захотят , то мы только будем рады. Но помимо этого мы создаём отдельную возможность для женщин. И вот это мыло покупается нашими предприятиями. Также , в Африке , как вы понимаете , есть проблема с нелегальной добычей золота. И мы сейчас решаем эту проблему путём отвлечения женщин от нелегальной добычи золота , предоставляя им возможность получить рабочие места за приделами этой индустрии. Мы считаем , что важно предоставить места рабочие женщинам именно тем участникам общества , на чьих плечах лежит ответственность за воспитание детей. Поэтому эта программа для нас очень важна. Поэтому если говорить о наших программах , то есть создание рабочих мест , раз , доступ к образование , два , здравоохранение , три , и отдельный фокус на рабочих местах для женщин вокруг наших рудников , это то , над чем мы работаем.
