As a translator, I have started my career since 2013 participating trade workshop where all small and medium size corporates participated from all over the world. I have felt such a rewarding moment whenever they have made a great deal through a successful business meeting. I have also worked as a foreign news translator at world news team for Broadcasting TV Chosun in Seoul, Korea. It was a great moment to see and check live news over the world. My major tasks were selecting the trending news from CNN, Reuters, BBC, and AP and translate them and summarize the story for the morning news.

And then I have found a great and honored opportunity to join Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in Abu Dhabi as a technical translator and interpreter for five years. I was the most long-term contracted in KHNP for the first time ever since the project started in 2014. I have successfully managed my tasks and loved my job, however due to maximum contract year of five has reached. I had to leave my beloved work place.

“Aspire with grace” is my favorite words from Joohee Jo, a Korean correspondent and CNN Seoul bureau chef. Like she has been trying to communicate with others in trouble or to address disputable issues, I also have been working as a communicator to break down language and cultural barriers and connect different perspective. I often experienced the critical moments of interacting with others from around the world. Language is not the only a tool that we can communicate with but understanding different culture and perspective is another useful tool as well.
