I am ____________ (please state name), an employee of ICON Clinical Research Ltd., which is a full service global Contract Research Organisation (CRO), (headquartered in Dublin, Ireland) involved in the provision and management of all aspects of Phase I to IV clinical research on behalf of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies (“the Sponsor”)
For the purposes of Data Protection, ICON are considered the Data Processor for Clinical Trial Data and the Sponsor is considered the Data Controller.
In relation to conducting clinical trials within your country, and with reference to the EU Directive on Data Protection, I would like to enquire if there is a requirement to establish a designated legal representative in your territory, if the controller does not have a presence/entity within the EU.
