Bio
I have worked as a freelance Polish-English translator since March 2007 and have garnered considerable experience in various fields, particularly in construction, chemistry (paints, varnishes, complex chemical formulas), machines (factory and other), waste management, meat processing equipment. This is not to say that I possess in-depth knowledge of these fields and their specific sub-areas, what I studied was English philology. Nevertheless, I have translated all those texts and my employers (have) continued to send me more work, so this is some proof of my professional integrity. Fortunately, I can say that I am an accomplished translator, particularly due to the attention I give to minute details and thorough search for accurate lexical counterparts. This approach enables me to provide translations of higher quality than those of some fully certified individuals.
During my college years, I used to read dictionaries in order to better learn English vocabulary. It has paid off in the form of a more in-depth understanding lexis, giving me the ability to more accurately discern the minute nuances when choosing words from long lists of synonyms, apart from the obvious broader knowledge of rare and sophisticated terminology, such as that used in most technical or literary texts.
