French to English: The Lion D'Angers International Horse Trials Detailed field: Sports / Fitness / Recreation
Translation - English The Lion d’Angers International horse trials.
For more than 20 years, the Lion d’Angers horse trials have earned themselves a very good reputation, that is totally justified. Every year the Lion World Cup welcomes more than 80 international riders and has the distinctive feature of welcoming more than 100 young horses. ‘The Lion’(as it is known to those who are regular visitors) attracts more and more visitors every year.
The most important equestrian event in France
When it was created in 1985, 3000 spectators came to applaud the riders and horses present, providing much needed enthusiasm and encouragement.
As time has gone by, The Lion World Cup has become an indispensable passage for riders who wish to start an international career aiming towards top level competition.
Today the Isle-Briand Estate welcomes more than 40 000 spectators in very wide open space countryside surroundings that appeal to both those competing and the organising teams.
The combination of the three disciplines that make up eventing (dressage, the long distance course and show jumping), allow the Lion World Cup and also the riders and their horses performing, to offer a show of unequalled quality up until now. This is due to both the sporting and riding qualities of the riders and their magnificent horses but also the hymn to nature that they present.
The passion of horse riding in exceptional surroundings
The 160 hectares of land devoted to horses are maintained thanks to a regular and precise upkeep and a creative floral programme.
The team from the Lion d’Angers Stud Farm and the volunteer workers that make up ‘The Lion Equestrian Association’ therefore strive to maintain the quality of the equestrian complex.
