Source text - English Soy Mince Balls in Tomato and Bell Pepper Sauce
“Meat”balls
500 gr (1 lb) vegetarian chopped “meat”
1 onion, diced
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 slice stale bread
1 egg
1/2 tsp cumin or meatball spice
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Sauce
1 Tbsp olive oil
4 sprigs fresh thyme
1/2 red pepper, sliced in to strips
3 ripe tomatoes, crushed
salt and pepper
“Meat”balls
Defrost the chopped “meat”. Soak the bread, squeeze out the water and crush in to crumbs, Mix all the ingredients and form into balls.
Sauce
Heat the oil, red pepper and thyme in a pot. Add the meatballs and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the crushed tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. There is no need to stir. Gently bring to a boil and simmer for an hour. Add water if the sauce evaporates.

פלפל שחור
מים לפי הצורך
כדורים
מפשירים את ה"טחון". מרטיבים, סוחטים ומפוררים את הלחם. מערבבים יחד את כל המרכיבים ומכינים כדורים מן התערובת.
רוטב
כאשר הכדורים מוכנים, מחממים את השמן, הפלפל האדום והטימין בסיר ומניחים עליהם את הכדורים. מאדים 3-2 דקות. יוצקים את העגבניות המרוסקות ומתבלים במעט מלח ופלפל שחור. אין צורך לבחוש. מביאים בעדינות לרתיחה ומבשלים על להבה נמוכה כשעה. מוסיפים מים אם התבשיל מתייבש.

Who is entitled to Convalescence Pay and to how much
Who is entitled to convalescence pay, how much will they receive and do they pay income tax and social security (Bituah Leumi) on their convalescence pay?
In a well-established tradition that has become law in the Israeli job market, employers pay yearly convalescence pay, intended – at least originally– to assist employees to go on vacation, take a breather and return to work refreshed. In the past, employees were required to hand in receipts of their vacation expenses in order to receive their convalescence pay. However, today this obligation no longer applies and all employees receive their convalescence pay each July.
How do I know if I’m entitled to convalescence pay?
The right to convalescence pay derives from various sources, therefore one must first discover the basis for your eligibility. Civil servants entitlement is based on the Civil Service Code rules (Takshir); different factories have their own collective agreements, which state their own rate of convalescence pay. Many employees are entitled to convalescence pay according to the general collective agreement between the Coordinating Bureau of Economic Organizations and the Histadrut trade union. This collective agreement has been extended to include any and all employees – whether according to this extension order or based on other grounds entitling them to better terms.
How much convalescence pay are you entitled to in a given year?
An employee is entitled to convalescence pay if he has worked in the same place for at least one year.
The payment is usually set at a fixed rate per day, multiplied by the number of days the employee is entitled to that year. The number of days varies according to the employee’s seniority. As of July 1st 2003, the rate of convalescence pay is 306 NIS per day.
Convalescence pay is disbursed according to seniority, as follows:
1 year of employment – 5 convalescence days – 1,530 NIS
2-3 years of employment – 6 convalescence days – 1,836 NIS per year
4-10 years of employment – 7 convalescence days – 2,142 NIS per year
11-15 years of employment – 8 convalescence days – 2,448 NIS per year
