The school aims to prepare pupils for life outside school by improving their understanding and appreciation of a healthy lifestyle. Health Education covers a wide range of topics appropriate to age and may include drugs awareness (e.g. alcohol and tobacco), eating disorders and sexual behaviour.
Purposes
In this school we strive to enhance pupils’ self-esteem by encouraging them to use their initiative, make informed choices and exercise responsibility for their own health and the health of others. Our health education programme aims:
• To promote positive attitudes towards health
• To develop decision-making skills about matters relating to health, including sexual health (appropriate to age).
• To enable pupils to acquire skills in decision-making and in managing and handling situations of stress in relation to health.
• To enable pupils to examine and accept responsibilities towards themselves and others.
• To raise pupil awareness of their responsibility for choosing and maintaining a healthy environment by providing an appropriate knowledge base and the skills to deal with real situations.

Училището има за цел да подготви учениците за живота извън училище като подобри тяхното разбиране и положително отновение към здравословния начин на живот. Здравното обучение покрива широк диапазон от теми, важни за тази възраст и би могло да включва информация за наркотици (като алкохола и тютюна), хранителни разстройства и сексуално поведение.
Цели
В това училище се стремим да подобрим самочувствието на учениците като ги насърчаваме да използват своята инициативност, да правят информиран избор и да бъдат отговорни както към своето здраве, така и към здравето на околните. Нашето здравно обучение цели:
• Да насърчи позитивно отношение към здравето
• Да развие умение за вземане на решения по отношение на здравето, включително на сексуалното здраве (съобразено с възрастта).
