"Tourism Professional Training Manual – Destination São Paulo" is a first-of-its-kind guide with useful information designed to train agents and help boost destination sales
São Paulo is Brazil’s largest city and a popular destination for events and business. However, what many do not know is that the city is also Latin America’s largest center for entertainment, culture and knowledge.
Aiming to publicize the many facets of destination São Paulo and encourage training and possibilities for capital sale as a tourism center, São Paulo Turismo (SPTuris), the city’s official tourism and event promoter, published a first-of-its-kind manual brimming with tools and tips for agents.
Entitled “Tourism Professional Training Manual – Destination São Paulo," it is printed in three languages (Portuguese, Spanish and English) and includes a CD-ROM in seven languages (the three cited above plus Italian, German, French and Japanese).
With useful information and tips for destination sales, the material also contains an image gallery for producing materials and brochures, a presentation for sales team training, videos, maps and other features. All of this so that tourism professionals can sell what is best about the city of São Paulo.

I am a native of Seattle, Washington who has been living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the past five years. I have been working with the Brazilian Portuguese into English language pair since 1999, when I began translating media articles for the professor for whom I worked at the time. My specialties include marketing, metallurgy, financial, IT, website localization and software, among others.
My main differential as a translator is the combination of refined English writing and grammar skills as a result of my journalism background together with my fluency in Brazilian Portuguese.
