Source text - Hebrew בשעות לפני הצהריים של 6 ביוני השתלטו כוחות פיקוד המרכז על החלק הצפוני של ירושלים המזרחית – הגבעה הצרפתית ובית-הספר לשוטרים. בשעה 11:55 הגיע שר-הביטחון, בלוויית ראש אג"ם ועוזרו, האלופים וייצמן וזאבי, לבנייני האומה בירושלים ויחד עם אלוף פיקוד המרכז, עוזי נרקיס, נסעו להר-הצופים. הייתה זו, כפי שמציין נרקיס, השיירה העברית הראשונה שעלתה להר-הצופים מאז תום מלחמת העצמאות בלא ליווי של חיילי הלגיון. נרקיס טען שצריך להיכנס לעיר העתיקה ודיין שלל זאת נחרצות. לעומת זאת סבר שיש לתפוס את דרך יריחו, כדי למנוע התקפת-נגד של הלגיון לעבר ירושלים.
Translation - English In the late morning hours of June 6th, Central Command forces have gained control of East Jerusalem's northern parts – The French Hill and the Police Officer Academy. At 11:55, the Minister of Defense, together with the Chief of the Operations Branch and his assistant, Major-Generals Weizman and Zeevi, to the Binyani Hauma Complex in Jerusalem, and together with Commander of Central Command, Uzi Narkis, they have gone to Mount Scopus. This was, as Narkis points out, the first Hebrew convoy to Mount Scopus without the Legion accompanying it since the end of the War of Independence. Narkis claimed that the Old City must be entered, and Dayan outright rejected this. He, on the other hand, believed that Jericho Road must be taken, in order to prevent a counter-attack by the Legion against Jerusalem.

I have been translating from Hebrew into English, and then into Hebrew again, for close to a decade. Starting with technical translations, I have since mastered various functional, esoteric, prosaic and wondrous structures of words, sentences, intents and purposes, to finally find my karma is hidden in the Shangri-La of legal translation. Lord Krishna says: Whatever I am offered in devotion with a pure heart - a leaf, a flower, fruit, [contracts, agreements, claims - SY] or water – I accept with joy (Bhagavad Gita 9:26). My translations, offered with a pure heart, indeed seem to bring some joy, or at least some satisfaction, to the world.
To please this and all other lords, I also write poetry, play flute, fall in love & read the papers.
