Who I am:
Satutext is a one-woman company that provides translation and interpreting services. I have worked as a freelance translator and interpreter since 1995. After receiving my Master’s degree in 1999 from the University of Tampere (School of Modern Languages and Translation Studies), I was employed for nearly 10 years by my Alma Mater as a teacher of interpreting and translating, in addition to researching my PhD thesis on the specifics of an interpreter-mediated encounter, which is to be completed at a later date.
What I do:
I provide translating and interpreting (consecutive) services in the language combination German-Finnish-German, and translating services from English into Finnish. I use the translation memory tools memoQ and SDL Trados. Currently I mostly translate EU texts, medicinal and pharmacological texts well as technical texts (various manuals etc.). |
