A Master of Arts at Lund in1971 (English, French, Spanish, General Linguistics) I have ever since made my living within various lines of business thanks to those languages plus my mother tongue. For almost six years now I dedicate myself mainly to translation, however, and have so become an associated member of the Swedish Association of Professional Translators (SFÖ).
I translate mainly from English, French and Spanish but also take on jobs from German (technical texts), Norwegian and Danish. I also provide full Nordic services through a tight co operation with colleagues and have managed many a project (some of them extensive) into those languages including Finnish and Icelandic.
I would say I have four fields of expertise as a translator: industrial equipment/machinery, automobiles, IT/modern technology and medical equipment. In all four areas I have professional people like different kinds of engineers, lawyers, IT-people, physicians, dentists, vets and lab technicians at hand for editing. This combined with my own background in linguistics (latin student, doctoral studies in French literature), humanities and social sciences make us an extremely competitive team.
