Source text - English It is LR Insurance, Inc.'s objective to ensure that items inspected by Authorised Inspection Staff and certified by the manufacturer or ‘R’ and ‘NR’ certificate holder, comply with the applicable Sections of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and National Board Inspection Code, as applicable, and embody satisfactory standards of workmanship.
LR Insurance, Inc. is totally committed to the concept of quality assurance and its application to working practices which affect the services provided to manufacturers.
It is LR Insurance, Inc.'s policy to achieve this objective through the implementation of an effective quality management system.
This policy is applied to all local offices from which ASME Inspection Services and inspections to the National Board Inspection Code are delivered.
The Authorised Nuclear Inspectors, Authorised Nuclear Inservice Inspectors and Authorised Inspectors inspecting items in manufacturers' works and at field locations are responsible for ensuring that each item has been constructed or repaired, altered, modified or replaced and inspected in accordance with the applicable requirements and must not sign data reports or NB report forms involving unresolved nonconformances with the ASME Code or National Board Inspection Code, as applicable.
All inservice inspection activities will be performed in accordance with the requirements of the applicable jurisdiction.
The Co-ordination Manager, ASME Inspection Services is given the authority to implement any changes to the Quality System described in this Manual and will advise the Executive Manager of any corrective actions necessary to ensure compliance with procedures, ASME Code, ASME QAI-1, the National Board Rules for Commissioned Inspectors NB-263, NB-360, NB-369 and this manual.
