As the number of children taking to the links has steadily risen, so too has the number of pediatric golf-related head injuries.
Golf-related accidents were the second most common cause of sports-related injury, after bicycle use, among 2,546 patients younger than 19 years who were evaluated by neurosurgeons for any cause at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta between 1996 and 2002.
Of the 15 golf injuries, 7 were caused by golf cart accidents, seven by golf clubs, and one by a golf ball (J. Neurosurg. [Pediatrics 2] 102:163-6, 2005).
The mean age of the children in the study was 7 years, and the youngest was 9 months.
The most common injury was depressed skull fractures, which occurred in seven (47%) of the 15 cases, followed by nondisplaced skull fractures in three (20%), subarachnoid hemorrhage in two (13%), epidural hematoma in two (13%), and subdural hematoma in one (6%).
A review of the literature by the investigators found that not only are golf-related injuries increasing, but they are the leading type of sports injury in regions where golf is popular, Dr. Rahimi wrote. Augusta, where this research was conducted, is home of the Masters Golf Tournament and a hotbed of golf enthusiasm
Golf-related injuries most often involve golf clubs and balls and occur at parks and homes, rather than at golf courses.
As a way to prevent or reduce injuries, Dr. Rahimi and colleagues recommend precautionary guidelines and safety training programs, proper storage of golf clubs, adult supervision of golf-club and golf-cart use, and the requirement of a minimum legal age to drive a golf cart. In Georgia and many other states, it is illegal to drive a golf cart without a valid driver's license.

BANK ACCOUNT PROCEDURES:
Opening Bank Accounts:

• A New Bank Account Request Form (see Appendix I attached) along with the required bank documentation is to be completed by the SBE Finance Director, and sent to International Treasury for approval prior to establishing the new account.

• International Treasury will process the request and return the completed documentation to the SBE Finance Director to send to the bank. The documentation will include bank resolutions, signature cards, incumbency certificates and any other information as required.

Signatory Changes to Bank Account:
• The Account Change Form (see Appendix I attached) along with a new signature card is to be completed by the SBE Finance Director.

• International Treasury will process the request and return the documentation to the SBE Finance Director to send to the bank.

Closing Bank Accounts:
• The SBE Finance Director shall complete the Request to Close a Bank Account Form (see Appendix I attached). The form should be sent to International Treasury in order to update the account records.

• A letter to the bank requesting the account be closed shall be countersigned by the bank and returned to the Finance Director with a copy to International Treasury. Accounts should remain open to clear outstanding checks for no more than 6 months from the date the bank is notified to close the account.

Account Maintenance:
• Monthly bank statements and account analysis should be sent to the attention of the person designated to reconcile the bank account activity. Each bank account should be reconciled to the general ledger on a monthly basis.

Закрытие банковского счета:
• Финансовый директор малого предприятия подготовит форму заявления о закрытии банковского счета (см. Приложение I). Форма должна быть отправлена в отдел международного казначейства для возобновления информации о банковском счете.

• Письмо банку с просьбой о закрытии счета будет подписано банком и возвращено финансовому директору малого предприятия. Его копия высылается отделу международного казначейства. Счета должны оставаться открытыми для выполнения клиринга неуплаченных чеков в течение не более 6 месяцев от даты оповещения банка о закрытии счета.

Управление счетом:
• Ежемесячные выписки по счету и анализ счета должны отправляться служащему, ответственному за сверку операций по банковскому счету. Каждый банковский счет должен ежемесячно сверяться с общей учетной книгой.

Bio

I have a diverse professional background in History and Social Work, and I
enjoy exploring a variety of subjects, including social sciences, religion, and
law. My professional translation experience spans across the fields of
medicine, pharmacy, law, and business. I have a keen interest in, and a knack for, medical translations.

Born in Russia, I had the opportunity to experience many different places.
I was an exceptional student in secondary school, where my literature teacher
particularly appreciated my excellent essays and my interest in Russian
literature. My avid reading habits helped me develop a strong and rich command
of my native language. After graduating from secondary school, I pursued my
studies in History. This journey continued even after I relocated to Latvia,
where I was exposed to a new culture and learned another language, in addition
to English, which I was already proficient in.

While working as a secretary at the University, I assisted with the
translation of various documents and papers, and also facilitated international
visits of colleague delegations. Concurrently, I translated International
Standards for Customs Officer Education and began translating various documents
for translation companies as I embarked on my own education in translation
sciences. I received my diploma in translation in 2008 and soon after, I became
an independent translator.

In 2011, I began my studies in social work and have continuously sought to
improve my knowledge in various fields. I find great joy in artistic and
