My work involves: (i) translation of patents from English to Greek and the reverse, (ii) provision of technical advice in the writing of a patent, as well as the writing of the patent itself. These Patents cover a wide variety of science and technology subjects including Chemical, Biochemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Medicine (certain aspects), Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Food Processing and Genetics.
Worked also as a military translator/interpreter for about one year during my compulsory military service in 1981 in the Translations office of the Hellenic Army Staff Headquarters in Athens.
Translation is a discipline that has always caught my interest and was practised by me since my early career days. My engineering background coupled with the experience gained by working in industry (manufacturing, sales and marketing, administration) (1983-1992) helped me establish a sound basis on which to develop my translation skills. |
