Slovenskí hokejoví reprezentanti prehrali v prvom z troch decembrových prípravných zápasov s Českom 2:3 po predĺžení a nájazdovom rozstrele.
Duel v košickej Steel Arene mal rámec osláv 80. výročia organizovaného hokeja a najmä mladá česká zostava deklarovala aj jeho exhibičný ráz.
Ďalšie dva zápasy na východe republiky sú však už riadnou generálnou prípravou na ZOH, keďže žiadne iné už pred vancouverskými hrami nebudú. Proti Slovákom sa v plnej sile predstavia vo štvrtok v Košiciach Bielorusi a v sobotu v Spišskej Novej Vsi Švajčiari.

The Slovak hockey team lost 2:3 in the first of three December training matches with the Czech Republic after extra-time and a shootout.
The match at Košice's Steel Arena celebrated the 80th anniversary of organized ice hockey and the young Czech squad especially showed-off their flamboyant team spirit.
Two additional contests in eastern Slovakia will be the last in general preparation for the Winter Olympics, since no other matches will take place before the upcoming Vancouver games. The Slovaks now go on to meet full-strength Belarusian and Swiss squads on Thursday in Košice, and on Saturday in Spišská Nová Ves, respectively.

Source text - Slovak Akoby ma vyhodili nahú z vlaku na Sibíri. Tak sa cítim. Je jedno, ako koho miluješ, vaše svety sa nikdy nedotknú. Sme odsúdení na večnú osamelosť, uzavretí v svojom tele, v svojej zložitej a nepochopiteľnej duši. Žijeme každý vo vlastnej ilúzii, dôležité je len, či sú tie ilúzie vzájomne kompatibilné. Čím sme starší, tým ťažšie sa niekomu odovzdáme, tým viac si uvedomujeme, čo všetko riskujeme, keď sa pustíme a skočíme do vzťahu. Viem, čo hovorím. Mám dosť rokov na to, aby som to zacítila na vlastnej koži. Viackrát mi už vypálili žeravým železom na telo značku ako dobytku, ktorý sa zatúlal na cudziu pastvinu. A preto s tebou potrebujem hovoriť.
Tak to by sme mali, pomyslel si Stajpen, keď si mail druhýkrát prečítal. Vytlačil si ho na papier dúfajúc, že keď pocíti v rukách jeho hmotu, pocíti aj zmysel slov jej listu spôsobom, ktorý mu bude vyhovovať. Že ho konečne dešifruje ako nejakú haluz, pretlak jej ťažko skúšanej umeleckej duše, a nie ako predzvesť budúcich problémov.
Pozrel cez zaprášené sklo kaviarne na ulicu a uvidel Sony v šialenej minisukni na náprotivnej strane cesty. Delili ich od seba dva rady áut, električková trať a nezriedené davy chodcov, ale aj tak medzi nimi žiarila ako elektrická Panna Mária. Bol v nej akýsi pouličný pôvab, ten druh krásy, ktorú nebolo treba hľadať a objavovať, ona nepotrebovala oči muža s fantáziou, dala o sebe vedieť na prvý pohľad. Vďaka tej kráse bola stále horúcou kandidátkou na titul Miss Kanálnici a Stavební robotníci a vďaka nej aj prišla k svojmu menu, keď ju tesne po revolúcii vzala ako gymnazistku mama na samovražedný štvordňový autobusový zájazd do Paríža. Tam ju oslovili Japonci nakrúcajúci v parížskych uliciach reklamu, či by sa nebola ochotná s walkmanom na ušiach tváriť ako typická žabožrútka a usmiať sa do kamery. Za ten dvojsekundový záber dostala 500 frankov a meno Sony. Walkman to bol síce nejakej inej a celkom neznámej značky, ale kto si má tie japonské hatlaniny pamätať.

While walking down the street she was approached by a Japanese TV crew shooting an advert. They asked if she would be willing to wear a walkman, impersonate a typical frog-eating mademoiselle and smile at the camera. For that two-second shot she was paid five hundred francs and given the nickname Sony. The walkman was actually of a different, totally obscure brand, but who can remember that Japanese mumbo-jumbo.

The UK Independence Party is committed to withdrawing Britain from the European Union. As the debate on the Lisbon Treaty has now made clear, the EU agenda is complete political union with all the main functions of national government taken over by the bureaucratic institutions of Brussels.
UKIP believes that this is not only bad for Britain's economy and prosperity, but it is an alien system of government that will ultimately prove to be totally unacceptable to the British people.
UKIP would replace EU membership with free-trade agreements. When Britain signed up to the European Economic Community, the British people thought they were getting this kind of free-trade agreements, not political union.
The UK Independence Party is the fourth largest political party in the UK. We currently have 13 members of the European Parliament who use their positions exclusively to expose the true nature of the EU and to campaign for British withdrawal.

Strana nezávislosti Spojeného kráľovstva sa zaväzuje k vystúpeniu Británie z Európskej únie. Z diskusie o Lisabonskej zmluve očividne vyplýva, že programom EÚ je vznik úplnej politickej centralizácie a prevzatie všetkých hlavných funkcii národných vlád byrokratickými inštitúciami v Bruseli.
Strana UKIP je presvedčená, že takýto systém je nielen škodlivý pre britskú ekonomiku a prosperitu, ale je to aj neprirodzený systém vlády, ktorý sa nakoniec preukáže ako absolútne neprijateľný pre britských občanov.
