Translation - English Role-playing game (RPG) is a type of game that allows its players to assume a fictional role in order to participate in creating its own story line. The players can instantly create and play using a series of preset rules and guidelines. The kind of customization carried out by the players, will determine the path the characters will take and progress throughout the game.
Role-playing games as compare to other more competitive type of games, emphasize more on collaboration and team work. A classic RPG game normally lets the players form an alliance or a team, and then let them set out on their exploration and adventure as a group. Therefore, there is rarely a winning or a losing side in the game. This is fundamentally different from other genres of games, like board games, poker games, sports games, or any other types of games in general.
Just like novels, or movies, the attraction and the appeal of RPG games lie in the fantasy within those games.
