I have a translation degree (MA) from the “Ecole d’Interprètes et de Traducteurs” attached to Brussels University. I have been in the translation profession for 30 years and have been specializing in medical translations for the past 20 years. From 1990 to 1999, I attended the annual medical course for translators at St Thomas Hospital.
For several years, I have translated numerous texts on medical devices in particular for Bard, Stryker Howmedica, Abbotts and many others as well as various surgical procedures, clinical trials, market authorisations etc. I also specialize in legal translations (for the past 25 years). I work for the police and for the Crown Prosecution Service and various police constabularies. I am a member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting. I am an assessor for ITI and member of the Professional Standards Committee. I am the accredited translator of the French Chamber of Commerce and an official translator of the French Consulate in London. |
