Source text - English The Zion Museum
The Human History Museum is located one half mile north of the park's south entrance near the town of Springdale. It is the first shuttle stop leaving the Visitors Center and the last one before you get back to the Visitors Center. It also has access to the Pa'rus trail. Open 10:00 to 5:00 daily, with longer hours in summer, this is a great place to escape the heat and spend some time in the air conditioning while still learning about the park. It is closed from November through February.
At the museum you will be able to explore the natural and human history of the park.
Exhibits are on display showcasing American Indian culture, historic pioneer settlement, and Zion's growth as a national park. You will also see the role water plays in Zion, both as a creator and destroyer. Temporary exhibits currently on display include replicas of historic Union Pacific Railroad lodging, Civilian Conservation Corp dairies, park employee photographs, and much more.
Approximately 22,500 objects are housed in the natural history collection at the museum. Study skins of mammals and birds, insects, paleontology specimens, and plant herbarium represent the biodiversity found in Zion National Park. The incredible diversity of plants and animals found in Zion is one of the unique and significant features of the park. These specimens provide baseline information about the parks natural environment. This helps scientists and park managers understand how plants, animals, soil, and water were managed in the past and how best to manage them in the future.
One of the best things about the museum is the back porch. Breathtaking views of the Altar of Sacrifice and the Beehive are available here. Enjoy watching the deer and other wildlife eating in the meadow behind the museum.
A free 22 minute movie is shown every half hour. This movie provides an excellent park over view. Rangers are available to answer questions. Books, maps, posters, and film are available in the museum bookstore.

I was born in Zurich where I lived for 11 years.
I moved to Italy where I attended High School.
I moved to Windsor (Canada) when I was 19 and after having passed the TOEFL exam (270/300) I entered the prestigious McGill University.
Unfortunately my military duty brought me back to Italy and I decided to enroll at the University of Chieti and took the degree in Foreign Languages (English and German).
During my university years I spent 1 year in the United States/Canada (1995), 6 months in Spain (1996) and 6 in Germany (1997).
After receiving a scolarship from the Irish Ministry of Foreign Affairs I went to Dublin where I attended UCD (University College of Dublin). I spent 6 years (1998 - 2004) in Dublin working mainly for two American IT companies.
I have always done translations and interpreting jobs during all these years in various fields from Agricultural to building construction, from EU directives to legal agreements, firm's balance sheets, birth certificates and technical manuals.
In my spare time I am translating a book on extreme sports, for which I received the autorization to publish from the English editor.
I have been certified as Microsoft Excel expert user when living in Dublin and gave classes about the use of the Microsoft Office suite and I am always willing to learn new tools (I am very IT oriented).
I am a very dedicated person and I always meet deadlines working on weekends when it is needed
I use SDLX Trados 2007 for my translations, but work on .doc, .xls, .ppt or .pdf files directly.
