Since July 2007 I have been working as a full time Translator at A.B.C. Translation Agency in Kiev, Ukraine. I am responsible for translation of legal (powers of attorney, certificates, diplomas, contracts, and abstracts), business (financial records, invoices, business correspondence, texts on marketing and advertising) and general texts (articles from periodicals, press releases) predominantly from English into Ukrainian and Russian.

In 2000, after 5 years of study I graduated from a Translation Department of Horlivka State Teachers’ Training Institute of Foreign Languages (HSTTIFL), where I received a Specialist Degree Certificate with honors (equivalent of Master’s Degree (magna cum laude)) in Translation and EFL Teaching. During my studies I was exposed to an array of theoretical courses in translation and had a supervised internship as a technical translator for the local chemical company. In 2000 I continued at HSTTIFL in the capacity of Translation and EFL Tutor/Lecturer. I taught a variety of Translation and Interpretation courses, Technical and Scientific Translation and Computer Assisted Translation alongside General English courses at both beginner and senior levels. I also did some freelance translation and interpreting for legal entities and individuals in my native city of Horlivka. Since June of 2007 I have been working as full-time translator at A.B.C. Translation Agency – market leader in written translation in the Ukrainian capital.
