I can't remember how I fixed it. But the file in question started with a character that is disallowed in Windows as a file name's starting character (possibly the character was allowed in other operating systems). I think what I did was to rename the original file, before sending it to Trados. But I remember I had to employ some googling to figure out how to rename the file.

difficult to say more without screen shot, but I think that the problem is just de name of the file.
