Hello,

I use half a dozen file-based memories (.sdltm files) in Trados Studio 2009.

I want to merge them into a single translation memory file - is this possible, and can anyone tell me how?

Many thanks
Carl

export and import Oct 17, 2011

I would do it in 3 stages:

- export all TMs to TMX files
- create a new TM
- import all TMX files into that new TM.

Cheers
S

Use the upgrade TM wizard Oct 17, 2011

Open the Upgrade TM Wizard. Select all the .sdltm files you want to merge. (You can view them if you select "translation memories" from the drop-down list that is set to All legacy files by default). Check the option "create output TM for each language pair". Done!

This is what I always do.
