Hey David!
Thanks for thinking about this. I think we've met before on one of these meetings. The usual venue was the King & Queen at 1 Foley Street, where there was always an arrangement that the function room is free for us, if everyone donates a pound to a charity that the owner supports. Maybe it's worth taking this into account? Goodge Street station is nearby, as are buses.

Hi guys,
is there's any special agenda for the get-together, or is it just a sort of a sociable meeting? | | | David Smith United Kingdom Local time: 01:48 Member (2008) Chinese to English
Hi guys, I did try and book the King and Queen but they were booked up, so I found an alternative. Maybe we could have a discussion after the event about where to hold the next one. I've moved the time to 3pm as you suggested. I also got a couple of emails about that. 3pm seems to be the popular time. Thanks for your comments | | | David Smith United Kingdom Local time: 01:48 Member (2008) Chinese to English
Hi, I don't think there's any need for a particular agenda; it's just a good way for us to mingle with other linguists. Hopefully there will be a networking aspect and also a social aspect! Of course, if anyone has anything they wish to propose in terms of a talk or anything we'd be delighted to include it. Thanks! | |
