Most definitely, but being in the mountains, not mountains in the distance. Every time I was there at big heights, the Internet was non-existing or patchy, so it can only be my enjoyment space, not work space. | | | Petro Ebersöhn (X) Local time: 07:36 My ideal workspace view: | Jan 23, 2017 |
The ocean, the mountains, or the countryside - any of these three. And I agree, not in the far distance. | | | Michael Harris Germany Local time: 06:36 Member (2006) German to English
My computer monitor. Another stupid question from our anonymous department.

My ideal work space would be a log cabin at the end of the back garden, just like this: | | | Marjolein Snippe Netherlands Local time: 06:36 Member (2012) English to Dutch + ... Ocean or countryside | Jan 23, 2017 |
I am not a mountain person, but I love wide views. I have worked in a room pretty high on a hill overlooking the Atlantic (including gorgeous sunsets and a fantastic tropical rainstorm) which was great. At the moment I am overlooking a snowy park with birds which is also pretty good! | | | Lingua 5B Bosnia and Herzegovina Local time: 06:36 Member (2009) English to Croatian + ... Working on a beach. | Jan 23, 2017 |
I tried it a couple of times. I can't remember a place where my focus was lower, was pretty much impossible for me to work. Overly relaxing. Great for relaxation, not so great for working

Wondering what's the Internet coverage in the desert? : D | | | The sky and a couple of trees | Jan 23, 2017 |
Enough variation for when I need a pause to think, but not enough going on to distract me. At present the sky is hazy blue, no clouds, and I can see the evergreen tree, and the red tiles of the neighbour's roof. In a couple of months (I hope) they will be largely hidden by the plum tree, white with blossom, but they may not. It grows in sandy soil, and it produced a bumper crop last year. It may take a rest this year, you never know! Then the plum tree is green all sum... See more Enough variation for when I need a pause to think, but not enough going on to distract me. It may take a rest this year, you never know! Then the plum tree is green all summer, and I can see the plums appearing, growing larger and turning red, before the leaves turn yellow and blow away. At other times I can see clouds, rain, mist or, if I'm lucky, glorious sunsets. ▲ Collapse | | | Thayenga Germany Local time: 06:36 Member (2009) English to German + ...
Preferably with a waterfall. But my present view is also really nice, the sky, an abundance of trees and a cemetery. It looks really pretty whenever we happen to have snow. And... it's an unobstructable view.

I would love to have a 24/7 view of the ocean, but it's only 15 minutes away and I'm very happy in my home, so I'm not complaining. I look out on a park with trees.

I have worked in an office with a view of the Sacré Coeur, it was delightful. In winter I would arrive at sunrise with everything tinged with rosy warmth. Also worked in a place looking out onto a quiet street near the opera house, with little old ladies taking their pugs for a walk and an opera singer who would warm his voice up on his way to afternoon rehearsals. Apparently a lot of the neighbours were famous, but I never recognised anybody. Now, my office overlook... See more I have worked in an office with a view of the Sacré Coeur, it was delightful. Apparently a lot of the neighbours were famous, but I never recognised anybody. Now, my office overlooks the garden. Like Christine, I have a plum tree, and a cherry tree and rose bushes. I mustn't look too hard in case I start noticing work to be done because that is frustrating when I have a deadline to meet. ▲ Collapse | | | Henry Schroeder United States Local time: 01:36 Member (2002) German to English + ... the computer screen :-) | Jan 23, 2017 |
