Job Title: In-House Language Specialist (English to French)

Responsibilities:

Translation: Translate game-related content from English to French, ensuring high-quality translations that align with cultural and linguistic norms of the target audience.
Proofreading: Proofread translated content to ensure accuracy, correct grammar and spelling errors, and address any issues that may affect user experience.
LQA (Language Quality Assurance): Conduct language quality assurance testing to identify and report translation errors, omissions, or inconsistencies, and provide suggestions for improvement.
Playtesting: Participate in game testing to ensure translated content performs well in the actual game environment and meets gameplay and functional requirements.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external translation vendors, conduct quality audits, manage communication, and ensure vendor-delivered translations meet company standards.
Requirements:

Language Skills: Fluent in both English and French with strong language expression and translation abilities.
CAT Tools Experience: Familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools (CAT tools), such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, etc.
Gaming Industry Experience: Experience in game translation and localization with knowledge of game terminology and user needs.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to identify and correct subtle language errors.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with game playtesting or a background in game development.
Knowledge of additional languages or experience in multilingual translation.
Vendor management or project management experience.
