"I felt that the resources were very helpful, however, with the exception of the 'common errors' slide, the presentation felt more like a read through this list than an engaging introduction to this sector. The presenter clearly knows her stuff and has a lot of experience, but it would have been helpful to have more of an insight into what clients are specifically looking for, how to be successful in this field, and tips on how to market to tourism clients. I also felt that the SEO slides were too brief and would probably have confused those who have no knowledge about."
"The title of the course is somewhat misleading. I thought it would be about more or less common mistakes and misunderstandings in translation. But the course was more about general terms and only a few false friends were treated.
In general the content was still quite interesting, saving me a lot of research work, since it was full of all kinds of general terms that are very useful in translating touristisc content."
"There was a huge amount of extremely detailed information given, so I'm glad to have the slides to refer to again. I felt the presenter failed to answer a couple of the points included in the blurb about the session, ie "How do you get into translating for the travel and tourism industry" and "Are any specific qualifications needed?". This was also a question that was raised by a participant and it still failed to get an answer. Slightly unsatisfied from that point of view, sadly."
