Source text - Slovak Osobnými údajmi podľa § 3 zákona č. 428/2002 Z.z. o ochrane osobných údajov v znení neskorších noviel sú údaje, týkajúce sa určenej alebo určiteľnej fyzickej osoby, pričom takou osobou je osoba, ktorú možno určiť priamo alebo nepriamo, najmä na základe všeobecne použiteľného identifikátora alebo na základe jednej či viacerých charakteristík alebo znakov, ktoré tvoria jej fyzickú, fyziologickú, psychickú, mentálnu, ekonomickú, kultúrnu alebo sociálnu identitu.
Pri spracúvaní osobných údajov možno využiť na účely určenia fyzickej osoby všeobecne použiteľný identifikátor (11/ zákon o rodnom čísle) ustanovený osobitným zákonom len vtedy, ak je jeho použitie nevyhnutné na dosiahnutie daného účelu spracúvania.
Podľa § 4 zákona spracúvaním osobných údajov sa rozumie vykonávanie akýchkoľvek operácií alebo súboru operácií s osobnými údajmi, napr. ich získavanie, zhromažďovanie, zaznamenávanie, usporadúvanie, prepracúvanie alebo zmena, vyhľadávanie, prehliadanie, preskupovanie, kombinovanie, premiestňovanie, využívanie, uchovávanie, likvidácia, preskupovanie, sprístupňovanie alebo zverejňovanie.
Podľa § 5 zákona osobné údaje môže spracúvať iba prevádzkovateľ a sprostredkovateľ. Sprostredkovateľ je oprávnený spracúvať osobné údaje len v rozsahu a za podmienok dojednaných s prevádzkovateľom v písomnej zmluve alebo v písomnom poverení.
Prevádzkovateľ dbá pri výbere sprostredkovateľa najmä na jeho záruky, pokiaľ ide o opatrenia v oblasti technickej, organizačnej a personálnej bezpečnosti. Prevádzkovateľ nesmie zveriť spracúvanie osobných údajov sprostredkovateľovi, ak by tým mohli byť ohrozené práva alebo právom chránené záujmy dotknutých osôb.
Prevádzkovateľ je povinný pred začatím spracúvania osobných údajov jednoznačne a konkrétne vymedziť účel spracúvania osobných údajov, určiť prostriedky a spôsob spracúvania osobných údajov, prípadne ďalšie podmienky spracúvania osobných údajov.
Podľa § 7 zákona osobné údaje je možno spracúvať len so súhlasom dotknutej osoby.
Súhlas musí obsahovať najmä údaj o tom:
- kto súhlas poskytol,
- komu sa tento súhlas dáva,
- na aký účel ,
- zoznam alebo rozsah osobných údajov,
- dobu platnosti súhlasu,
- podmienky jeho odvolania.
Súhlas daný v písomnej forme bez vlastnoručného podpisu toho, kto súhlas dáva, je neplatný.
Súhlas sa nevyžaduje, ak sa osobné údaje spracúvajú na základe osobitného zákona (4/ napr. zák. o zamestnanosti) , ktorý ustanovuje zoznam osobných údajov, účel ich spracúvania a okruh dotknutých osôb.
Osobné údaje o dotknutej osobe možno získať od inej osoby a spracúvať v informačnom systéme len s predchádzajúcim písomným súhlasom dotknutej osoby. To neplatí, ak poskytnutím osobných údajov o dotknutej osobe do informačného systému iná osoba chráni svoje zákonné práva alebo právom chránené záujmy, alebo oznamuje skutočnosti, ktoré odôvodňujú uplatnenie právnej zodpovednosti dotknutej osoby, alebo sa osobné údaje spracúvajú na základe osobitného zákona. Ten, kto takto osobné údaje spracúva, musí vedieť preukázať Úradu na ochranu osobných údajov SR kedykoľvek na jeho žiadosť, že ich získal v súlade so zákonom.
Translation - English Pursuant to the Art. 3 of the Act No. 428/2002 Coll. on Personal Data Protection as amended, personal data are defined as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, whilst an identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to a generally applicable identifier or to one or more characteristics or factors specific to the person’s physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
When processing personal data, the generally applicable identifier (11/ Act on Birth Registration Number) provided for under a specific Act can only be used for the purpose of natural person identification if the use of the said identifier is necessary in order to achieve the given purpose of the processing.
Pursuant to the Art. 4 of the Act, the notion personal data processing means any operation or set of operations which is performed upon personal data, such as acquisition, collection, recording, organization, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, alignment, combination, relocation, use, storage, erasure, alignment, making available or publishing.
As per the Art. 5 of the Act, personal data can only be processed by the controller and the processor. The processor is authorized to process personal data only to the extent and under conditions agreed upon with the controller by a written agreement or in terms of a written authorization.
When selecting a processor, the controller shall particularly consider the processor’s warranties with respect to the provisions in terms of technical, organizational and personal security. The controller must not entrust the processing of personal data to a processor if the data subjects’ rights or their interests protected by rights could be endangered by this.
Prior to the commencement of the processing of personal data, the controller is obliged to clearly and specifically identify the purpose of the processing of personal data, determine the means and the way of the processing of personal data , and/or to determine other conditions of the processing of personal data, as the case may be.
As per the Art. 7 of the Act, the processing of personal data may only be carried out with the consent of the data subject.
The consent must particularly contain the following information:
who has given the consent,
whom the consent has been given to,
for what purpose,
a list or scope of personal data,
duration of validity of the consent,
conditions for the withdrawal of the consent.
A consent given in a written form, however, lacking the autograph of the person giving the consent shall be deemed void.
A consent is not required if personal data are to be processed on the grounds of a specific Act (4/ e.g. the Employment Act) establishing a list of personal data, purpose of their processing and a group of data subjects.
Data subject’s personal data can be obtained from another person and processed in an information system only upon a prior written consent of the data subject. This shall not apply if by entering the data subject’s personal data in the information system, another person protects his/her legal rights or interests protected by rights or communicates the facts that justify the enforcement of data subject’s legal liability, or if the personal data are processed on the grounds of a specific Act. A person processing personal data in such way must be able to prove to the Personal Data Protection Office of SR anytime when requested by the same that he/she has obtained the given data in compliance with the legislation.

As the operator it is your responsibility to make sure that the on-load tap-changer is used for the specified application only. The on-load tap-changer may only be used with the transformer specified in the order.
For safety reasons, any unauthorized work, i.e. installation, modification, alteration of the on-load tap-changer equipment, electrical connection or commissioning of the equipment is forbidden without first consulting MR Peter!
Otherwise, the trouble-free operation of the drive, the on-load tap-changer and the transformer may be put at risk.
• All warnings and safety instructions must be observed at
all times!
Failure to follow the safety instructions may lead to accidents and severe personal injury.
• Please read these operating instructions before commis¬
sioning the equipment!
Please read these instructions before switching on the on-load tap-changer. As the operator, you are responsible for ensuring that users of the equipment have fully understood the oper¬ating and safety instructions.
• Train your staff!

Translation - Slovak 1.2 Bezpečnostné pokyny
Ako prevádzkovateľ ste zodpovedný za to, aby sa prepínač odbočiek pod záťažou používal len pre jeho určený účel. Prepínač pod záťažou sa môže použiť len s transformátorom špecifikovaným v objednávke.
Z bezpečnostných dôvodov sú zakázané akékoľvek neoprávnené úkony, t.j. inštalácia, modifikácia, úpravy zariadenia prepínača pod záťažou, elektrické zapojenie zariadenia alebo jeho uvádzanie do prevádzky, vykonané bez predchádzajúcich konzultácií s MR Petrom!
V opačnom prípade môže byť ohrozená bezporuchová prevádzka pohonu, prepínača odbočiek pod záťažou a transformátora.
• Vždy je nutné dodržiavať všetky upozornenia a bezpečnostné pokyny!
Nedodržanie bezpečnostných pokynov môže viesť k nehodám a vážnym zraneniam osôb.
• Tieto prevádzkové pokyny si prečítajte ešte pred uvádzaním zariadenia do prevádzky!
Tieto pokyny si prečítajte pred zapnutím prepínača odbočiek pod záťažou. Ako prevádzkovateľ ste zodpovedný za to, aby užívatelia zariadenia v plnej miere pochopili prevádzkové a bezpečnostné pokyny.
• Svoj personál zaškoľte!
Pre personál zaistite školenie týkajúce sa všeobecných a osobitných bezpečnostných pravidiel a predpisov o prevencii pred nehodami ešte pred tým, než od neho budete požadovať, aby prepínač odbočiek pod záťažou používal.
• S prepínačom odbočiek pod záťažou by mal pracovať iba príslušne kvalifikovaný personál!
Prepínač odbočiek pod záťažou je určený výlučne pre použitie v rámci elektrických a energetických systémov a zariadení prevádzkovaných riadne zaškoleným personálom, t.j. personálom oboznámeným s inštaláciou, montážou, uvedením do prevádzky a obsluhou takýchto výrobkov.

1. The task of the expert witness
1. Make a statement on whether the sewer line failure could have occurred through the fault of the builder due to improper construction procedures applied when erecting the given line, through the fault of the tenant due to improper use of the sewage system, or due to extremely unfavourable weather conditions (enormous amount of rainfall).
2. Make a statement on what the obligations are with respect to the construction works to be performed when erecting the given pipeline and the noncompliance with the works by the party executing the construction, if any.
3. In case the construction-related fault of the sewer line has been eliminated, make a statement on whether the sewer line had been erected in a correct way prior to the repair.

NA.1 Predmet prílohy
Národná príloha NA uvádza národne stanovené parametre a ďalšie informácie potrebné na používanie STN EN 1998-1 na území Slovenskej republiky.
Národne stanovené parametre majú pre stavby postavené na územi Slovenskej republiky norma¬tívny charakter.
NA.2 Národne stanovené parametre
V ďalších článkoch sa uvádzajú národne stanovené parametre, pre ktoré sa dovoľuje národné rozhodnutie.
NA.2.1 Článok 1.1.2(7): Informatívne prílohy A a B Ich použitie sa spresňuje pódia príloh NB1 a NB2.
NA.2.2 Článok 2.1(1) POZNÁMKA 1: Referenčná perióda výskytu 7NCR seizmického zaťaženia pre požiadavku nezrútenia (alebo ekvivalentne referenčná pravdepodobnosť prekročenia počas 50 rokov PNCR)
Na splnenie požiadavky nezrútenia konštrukcie sa uvažuje referenčná perióda výskytu TNCR = 450 rokov, čo zodpovedná pravdepodobnosti prekročenia počas 50 rokov PNCR = 10 %.

NA.2.4 Článok 3.1.1(4): Podmienky, pri ktorých netreba uskutočniť výskum vlastnosti základovej pôdy vo väčšom rozsahu ako v prípade neseizmických zaťažení a kedy sa smie použiť štandardné zatriedenie vrstiev podložia
Pri stavbách triedy významnosti I netreba uskutočnil prieskum vlastností horninového prostredia vo väč-šom rozsahu ako v prípade neseizmických zaťažení Pri stavbách triedy významnosti II až IV sa v prípa¬de potreby požiadavka na väčší rozsah prieskumu špecifikuje pre individuálny projekt.
NA.2.5 Článok 3.1.2(1): Zatriedenie vrstiev podložia so zohľadnením hĺbkovej geológie vrátane hodnôt parametrov S, 7B, 7c a 7D na definovanie spektra horizontálnej a vertikálnej pružnej seiz¬mickej odozvy podľa 3.2.2.2 a 3.2.2.3
Na identifikáciu kategórie podložia sa použije tabuľka 3.1 STN EN 1998-1 a špecifikácia parametrov S, TB, 7C a TD podlá prílohy NB.5. Ohľadne Nspr pozri prílohu NB 4 Pri stavbách situovaných blizko aktív-nych alebo potenciálne aktívnych zlomov sa vyžiada odborný posudok. Odborný posudok sa vyžiada aj v prípadoch, keď zloženie podložia naznačuje nepriaznivé podmienky a zatriedenie do kategórie S1. S2.
NA.2.6 Články 3.2.1(1)P, (2), (3): Mapy seizmických oblastí a referenčné hodnoty seizmického zrýchlenia
Mapy seizmických oblastí SR sa použijú podľa STN 73 0036. Pre stavby so súčinitelom významnosti jf> 1,0 je potrebný odborný posudok.
NA.2.7 Článok 3.2.1(4): Kontrolný parameter (jeho identifikácia a hodnota) pre hranicu nízkej seiz-micity
Oblasti nízkej seizmicity sa uvažujú tam. kde súčin ag Sje menší alebo rovný 0,1 g - odporúčaná hodnota.

Nationally Determined Parameters and supplementary information
NA.1. Subject-Matter of the Annex
The National Annex NA gives Nationally Determined Parameters and other information required for the application of STN EN 1998-1 in the Slovak Republic.
Nationally Determined Parameters are of normative nature with respect to the constructions built in the Slovak Republic.
NA.2 Nationally Determined Parameters
The following clauses give Nationally Determined Parameters in case of which a national choice is allowed.
NA.2.1 Clause 1.1.2(7): Informative Annexes A and B
Their use is specified pursuant to the Annexes NB1 and NB2.
NA.2.2 Clause 2.1(1) NOTE 1: Reference return period TNCR of the seismic action for the non-collapse requirement (or equivalently the reference probability of exceedance in 50 years, PNCR)
To comply with the non-collapse requirement, account is taken of the reference return period TNCR = 450 years, corresponding to the reference probability of exceedance in 50 years, PNCR = 10 %.
NA.2.2 Clause 2.1(1) NOTE 2: Reference return period TDLR of the seismic action for the damage limitation requirement (or equivalently the reference probability of exceedance in 10 years, PDLR)
To comply with the damage limitation requirement, account is taken of the reference return period TDLR = 95 years, corresponding to the reference probability of exceedance in 10 years, PDLR = 10%.
NA.2.4 Clause 3.1.1(4): Conditions under which ground investigations additional to those necessary for the design for non-seismic actions may be omitted and default ground classification may be used.
For constructions with the importance class I there is no requirement to conduct ground investigations additional to those necessary for the design for non-seismic actions. In case of importance classes II to IV the requirement for ground investigations of a larger extent will be specified individually for each project, if required.
NA.2.5 Clause 3.1.2(1): The ground classification scheme accounting for deep geology including the values of the parameters S, TB, TC and TD defining the horizontal and vertical elastic response spectra in accordance with 3.2.2.2 and 3.2.2.3
To identify the type of ground, use shall be made of the Table 3.1 of STN EN 1998-1 and the specification of the parameters S, TB, TC and TD according to the Annex NB.5. For NSPT refer to Annex NB 4. In case of constructions located in the vicinity of active or potentially active faults, an expertise shall be requested. An expertise shall also be requested in cases when the ground composition indicates adverse conditions and classification in S1, S2 categories.
NA.2.6 Clauses 3.2.1(1)P, (2), (3): Maps of seismic zones and reference values of seismic acceleration
Maps of seismic zones in the SR shall be used according to STN 73 0036. In case of constructions with the γI > 1.0 importance factor an expertise is required.
NA.2.7 Clause 3.2.1(4): Reference parameter (its identification and value) for low seismicity limit
Low seismicity cases are reckoned with where the product αg S is less than or equal to 0.1 g – recommended value.

I have been doing translations/interpreting for over 14 years now.
I graduated from the University of Prešov, Slovakia with the master’s degree in English Language and Literature and passed several translation oriented courses at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia.
My first translation/interpreting assignment was for the Komineft Joint Venture (Oil Company) in Usinsk, Russia. Then I worked as a translator/assistant for the Head of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (a US NGO’s office in Slovakia). Later I served 12 months of military service at the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic, Section of Integration and International Affairs, again as a translator/interpreter. After the military service I worked at the Slovak Telecom Headquarters (today T-Com, owned by Deutsche Telekom), doing translations and interpreting. My latest long-term translation/interpreting assignment was for U.S. Steel Košice, a subsidiary of United States Steel Corporation, and since then I have been working as a freelance translator/interpreter.
The areas that I have covered during my translation career so far include engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, power generation), project management, public procurement, OSH, Environmental Protection, Law (mainly contracts), telecommunications, defense and others.
Doing translations/interpreting is my hobby and a job at the same time.
