I graduated from the University of Stockholm in december 2013.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and one in Spanish as well. On top of that I studied German in Berlin, where I received the certificate C2. I also studied three semesters (90 hp) of translation at the Stockholm University, where my source languages where English and Spanish. I am interested and well versed in political science and during my Bachelor's degree in political science my I specialized in third world studies and topics like sustainability and social justice. In Spanish, I wrote my Bachelor's thesis on democracy issues in Paraguay, focusing on accountability, institutional instability and civil society.
I am also interested in linguistics, literature and fiction. The Bachelor in Spanish included courses like text analysis, written production, literature studies, linguistics, discourse and pragmatics. My last semester of translation was very vocational, with courses on Subtitling, Voiceover and Dubbing, IT-translation, translating for business and management and translation of fiction.

Since I finished my studies I have translated a varied range of texts, from short stories and articles to cabarets.

I worked with the project/cabaret Europa Europa, a cabaret that premiered in Sweden in the summer of 2014 and then went abroad in 2015. I translated their webpage from Swedish to English, and made English subtitles for their show abroad.

I just finished a five month traineeship with the European Commission in Brussels, where I worked as a translator at the Swedish unit of translation. I translated a very wide range of texts – from legislation and directives to press releases and answers to questions the public had sent commissioners. I also worked three weeks in the web unit, where the work more consisted of localization than actual translation.
