Source text - English 1) Observations about Renewal 2010 1）2010 年度续保业务观察 As per one of the Chinese proverbs I have found while preparing for the presentation and the trip to this impressive country (my first time in Asia!), “A crisis is an opportunity riding the dangerous wind”. So how did we all do in the last renewal?
I have not personally been at the ICISA conference in Jeju, but learned that one of the most discussed topics there had been the potential lack of R/I capacity. In fact, that lack of capacity did finally not occur, on the contrary in some cases over-placement was observed. The expected capacity crunch did not happen, even though U/W year 2008 and A/C year 2009 were disastrous. We would also not consider that it was a hard reinsurance market. What was important was that largely the result situation had improved in U/W year 2009 and a more positive view was taken by the reinsurers. Topics such as continuity, relationship, the long-term view and partnership reappeared. We could clearly observe an increased risk appetite by established players and some new players in the reinsurance field and had to live with the fact that one of the historic leaders pulled out significant capacities. But in the end R/I capacity for credit and surety was not a scarce good.

Since graduated from Wilhelmshaven University of Applied Science, Germany in 2008, I have worked in two translation companies, and then been a freelance for years because I love translation, so I would like to focus most of my time on searching the information about translation, training my translation skills, getting familiar with the latest translation software. As I firmly believe that Nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it.
As working in the company, the translation tasks are mainly from Automotive, Electronics, Information Technology, Machinery, patent, hotel, security, with translation volume up to 1500000 words, including 800 minutes translation of multimedia(including professional dubbing) .
