I am Carlos, a professional translator and native Brazilian Portuguese speaker, member of ABRATES – Brazilian Association of Translators and Interpreters.

I have been working at Amara Subtitling for over 4 years. As a Subtitles Quality Assurance Manager, I was designated for Quality Assurance procedures and was responsible for managing a team of 25 translators and subtitlers on 110+ hours of projects for the Google Group, such as YouTube Premium Originals, Android Developers, and Google I/O tech conferences.

Among many Language Service Providers around the globe, I also provide subtitling services for feature films to a Netflix Preferred Fulfillment Partner in Europe – ODMedia Group.

At Terralingua Technical Translations, an ISO 9001- & ISO 17100-compliant translation and localization company, I have translated over 300,000 words of technical content in 55+ delivered projects since 2018.

I am also ranked as a Top Rated Freelancer on Upwork, a platform that connects professionals to clients. Through Upwork alone I have worked on 80+ projects for industry leaders such as Disney, Billboard, Roche, Pfizer, Avianca, PwC, and others. I have also translated and proofread websites, mobile apps, literature books and handbooks, advertising and marketing plans.

In order to deliver projects of even higher quality, I have enrolled myself in the Translation Theory and Practice postgraduate course offered by Pontifical Catholic University of Parana in Brazil.
