Being a Singaporean and growing up in Singapore means that I'm exposed to various cultures and understanding the various cultural behaviours and attitudes. That gives me the edge in my translation work where I am able to understand the material and text at hand and translate to the targetted audience more appropriately. Moreover, with my background in advertising, marketing and copywriting, my translation work contains more marketing flair especially for marketing related projects. Hence, many of my clients are very pleased with my work as the translation is not literal translation instead has an additional edge to it and appeals to their targetted audience.
